Don't know if this has already been posted.
Does merging it with the other thread of the same name give you a clue?

You know I'm too damned lazy to look up crap like that (yes, I know that it tells me as I do it, but for some reason, I just didn't look).

I knew my mates here were a lot quicker than that!

        Good Afternoon

Is there any chance that the player numbers section is updated to reflect changes for 2009? Or will this be done after the official gurnsey presentation on 18 March?

As far as I can see the following changes need to be made:

        7 - Meredith (listed as 38)
        10 - Currie (listed as 35)

        Remove:
        46 - Beckmans
        47 - Bruce
        48 - Terlich

        Cheers

I noted in the NAB program that Sydney and North Melbourne are the only teams with continuous jumper numbers 1 to end. Most of the others have "reserved" or "retired" numbers, which is all a bit cute.

Freemantle, Melbourne and St Kilda have multiple cutenesses.

Admittedly, Brisbane, Carlton, Collingwood, Footscray and Geelong only go "missing" with very high (Rookie) numbers. And, Sydney record is now ended with the Irish defections.

I hope the season starts soon.......

                  Except for 12 and 17.

Michael Jordan, more of a midfielder than a forward though. Still shot a lot of goals (baskets).

                      Yes...

One of the greats was 23 Matty Nicks, sweet boot, loved him to pieces. Was disappointed when I saw Faulkes in that number, happier now, you will all be glad to hear.

Bev will stay with number. He has had it for years, and its his.

Indeed. He is also the most outstanding player to wear the 42. I don't want reprise the bare knuckle dfebate of Bevo v Chappie that erupted on this board recently and raised some distinguished blood pressures but the kid must have the tag of the greatest ever 42 simply because he has kept it, unlike Chappie who moved downtown on the list.
