    Has Tadgh behaved appropriately?

Has Tadgh done the right thing by the club?

This is not an argument over his playing ability. I think we all accept he was a great player for the club. Nor is this a contractual argument. So leave those discussions with the other threads.

A simple question, with a simple answer. Yes or No.

No. He didn't handle it well. Better than Coney, but still not well. But given what he has done for us, I can forgive him this one small blunder.

I voted no, but I did so without having read the other thread or even knowing the full circumstances of his leaving.

I've been busy exhibiting at the gift fair and haven't seen a tv or read a paper on nearly a week.

I know he left, and I think he should have done so before the draft etc.
When you commit for another year, you stand by what you say you'll do.

Having said all that, in the end players come and go, and I don't bear any grudge.
Seems like yesterday when he burst onto the scene and became a valuable player.

I'd make a post wishing him well and thanking him for his service etc etc etc, but since I don't know him, I doubt he'd read it and think "Oh wow, that internet forum poster person wished me well - what a nice thing to say, I feel all warm and fluffy"

            So I won't.

I'm sure he's a decent bloke in real life though.
When I'm next in Ireland, I'll drop by his place for a beer.

Contract breaker = white collar criminal.

And he kiddy fiddled with Kyle Coney's contract too.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Stuff you all. I voted yes......you're a long time living with the pain of injuries. The Swans is only a pseudo family not areal family. Too bad about the contract and the timing. We'll live.

Awful timing and took away the swans ability to take another kid in the last uncompromised draft or to even take on a proven player.

He clearly kissed the Blarney Stone when it came to the contract?

I can understand the decision, and saw it coming to some extent. I am very concerned about the timing.

I wonder how much of it was the club urging him to try the pre-season before making the big decision, and how much was him keeping quiet about his desire to go immediately.

I think you are right Donners.

He may have tried but the long term damage to the shoulder must be taken in to account.

Not since Cresswell and Kelly have we seen a player play on after an injury that would have most of us in rehab for 3 months !

                            Service above and beyond.

Good Luck to him and thanks for the memories.

While I understand his decision, its the fact we are down on a player for 09.
How it was handled is the concerning thing
