    Captain Goodes

Goodes one of three captains | The Daily Telegraph

ADAM Goodes will be one of the three captains for the Swans this season.
The Swans most decorated current-day player joins Brett Kirk and Craig Bolton in the captaincy role and and replaces Leo Barry, who stepped down. "It is a fantastic honour,'' Goodes said.
He's been wanting this for quite some time now, hopefully it spurs him on to have a great season.

I'm so happy (she says through tears of joy).

    About friggin time.

    Onya Goodesy.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Hopefully this ensures Goodes gives his football and the club 100% attention.

The right move in my view.

                  Rightly so.

Now his full attention must be playing the footy we know.

Fantastic news - I think it will make him a better player again.

                        Keep his anger away.

Fantastic to see! The guy's been bustin' to be a captain at our club and he deserves it.

Pemiership medal, club captain, 2 Brownlows, member of the Indigenous Team of the Century - a pretty impressive list of honours!

Would have been a kick in the teeth for him not to have been made captain, and one that he doesn't deserve. One of the few genuine matchwinners in the team and one whose consistency (or lack thereof) is sometimes rated harshly against very high standards.

Here's hoping 2009 is another Brownlow year. He's about due!
