    NAB Challenge: Syd v Melb

I'm going to the match at Visy Park on Saturday and I'm happy to send through updates for someone to post on here for others.

I don't know if there is any radio coverage, but if there isn't, I'm happy to oblige if someone just tells me how.

Err...I'm thinking sms-ing someone near a computer. Any other ideas?

I will post a match report after the game, regardless.

There was some talk of a $10 charge, but the email from the club didn't mention any fee. Last time I went to a practice match at Princes there was supposed to be a charge but they just let you walk in.

Also the club email says a start of 1.00 pm not 2.00 pm as previously stated. Can anyone confirm that this is correct. V important as I am getting leave from family duties and any extra hour I'm away wil COST ME!

          Confirmed members free...others $10 (or $5 for concessions or $2 for 6-15 yrs...family $20)

There will be no radio coverage as it is a practice match. It would be like broadcasting a training session.

I would suggest turning up, then you will find out the price. Seriously though, for a practice match it shouldn't cost much, if anything.

Thanks for the info, I'm a new swans supported and didn't realise it was deemed a practice match. Just hope the swans do the biz and but it's hard to get team info when you are not in Oz even with the internet. Anyone know where the team might be put on the web & where

The AFL are good at spinning these as "Challenge Cup" matches instead of practice matches.

I think there was a thread on here with the squad, but I'm not sure.

tanx 4 that, there are 29 named, but only 26 can play as far as i know, 18 + 8 interchange, just hoping some of the younger players like Murphy & orreal get a run out.

Its 26 (but good luck finding the final 26) + 3 emergencies.

Orreal not playing according to the Herald a few days ago.

Done. And congratulations about your cat, that is amazing.

Anyone with specific players to watch, post on here, and hopefully satch can pass it onto me. I'll do my best to watch all the players all the time, but well, you know.

I'll take notes, and try to give a detailed report when I get back, too.

I'm most interested in how Murphy looks in semi-senior company. He's the one player we are hoping can make a contribution this year who we are yet to see play other than at ACTAFL level.
