I'd kill to hear one of his speeches at the "Presidents Lunch" that they hold on game days here, RC bores you to death an no one listens to him ( he is forever saying "please be quiet for a minute" which goes for about 20 minutes of drivel) - Capper would have the crowd in fits!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Still hoping for a Capper father/son pick.

Did Capper ever guest star on Kath and Kim as he probably should have.

I just picked this up. No offence to Ball, but was this serious?

If your complaint is about the decisions of Colless and the Board, then Ball has sat on it for the past two years and signed off on them.

And if you want to suggest he might have privately disagreed, then by the logic you apply to Colless, he should walk out, publicly denounce them and quit.

true, but this forum is increasingly like what i imagine theirs is.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

one minute they say they are struggling - the next they have the season launch at Bondi Icebergs - and that aint a cheap venue!! Now if the AFL paid then ok I can cope with that excessive expense by Vlad and his band of minstrels. However, if the AFL didnt pay, why didnt the Swans have it at Club Swans? at least they would have got the room at mates rates.

Makes you wonder, doesn't it? Club Swans would have been the ideal venue for the season launch. The club has lost money on it's investment with the venue since the renovations were done, so you'd think any function to help generate demand would be welcome. Bondi Icebergs as a venue only re-inforces the image of the Swans being a creature of the affluent eastern suburbs.

Well, technically, the X is in the eastern suburbs.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Technically, you're right, but the X has an identity of it's own that's independent of location. It basically separates the city fringe from the inner eastern suburbs.

AGM tomorrow afternoon. I hope someone puts Colless on the spot about the membership price rises.
