Simon Taylor reported in about the 5th minute of the 1st qtr against Cats for kneeing Selwood to the head. Very little doubt it was deliberate and right in front of the umpire.
Gone for next week!
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

I reckon we'd be better off playing against the Hawks with Taylor than without. Quite aside from that very clumsy - maybe deliberate - knee to Selwood's head, he looked like a complete spud out there tonight.
Agree that the Hodge report was soft as and I can't even seeing it making it to the tribunal. Wonder if there was anything in a separate, off-the-ball incident where he knocked a Cat down. Cameras didn't seem to catch it but the commentators thought it might have been untoward.
The only two Hodge incidents I can think of are the punch to Lonegran, which I thought there was nothing in, and him cleaning up Stokes which resulted in the push and shove with Johnson (and dive by Hodge).
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I was sitting right on the spot where that incident happened and it looked like Johnson absolutely smashed him. I turned to my mates and said he'll get 6 weeks. Hopefully Hodge gets rubbed out and we might be a chance.

Cameras caught it perfectly...they played it a few minutes later from down the ground...totally accidental...however Steve Johnson then punched Hodge in the nose which gave Hodge a bleeder so you gave to wonder why the journos who get paid so much can't seem to mention it when they round up who is potentially in trouble. Worth 4 weeks IMO with one of for early plea....Barry got 8, remember.
"I'll acknowledge there are more talented teams in the competition but I won't acknowledge that there is a better team in the competition" Paul Roos March 2005
Perhaps Bucky should get a reprieve but i wouldn't mind these changes.
Bucky may have the decision taken out of his (or Roos' hands) after he collected liddle Way. Do they still suspend players for that or is it strictly limited to a fine nowadays?
Barlow really is frustrating. In the first quarter, when the Swans looked good, I thought he made a decent contribution. He ran hard to space and used the ball well. He appears to have all the tools to become a good player - tall, athletic and with good skills. But he just lacks intensity. I think it is that, more than softness. He needs to make use of the endurance we keep hearing about to run himself ragged and present in space, the way the Saints did all night.
It will be interesting to see whether Roos was frustrated with him as the rest of us were, or whether he'll stick with him for a while.
Crouch didn't give us much at all tonight but I can't see him making way after just one week. If the bad results keep coming, he could well be one of the older brigade to be stood down but I'll be surprised if he's outed for next week.
Buccy mightn't have a choice if the Review panel decide to charge him for running into the little yellow rat! Don't think wholesale changes are the answer, Roos just needs to give them a right good bollocking over it and start over again next week. Barlow should probably make way for Ablett if Luke's ok.
Liz I think its a fine if you make contact thats deemed not to be incidental (as in being pushed into the ump like Goodes was) and I think still a suspension if they decide it was unnecessary and could have been avoided, which is how they'll view Buccys because he wears a red and white jumper.
If Pyke can run 100 metres so quickly. hy not run him out of the backline when he's not in the ruck?
So his skills are a bit short but if the team wants to handball and run then I would have thought his previous ability would be perfect to the game.
Because as much as we all hate Robert Walls, he was right about one thing tonight: inexperienced ruckmen will kill you with the amount of free kicks they give away. Give him some more time in the ressies before he comes up against the seasoned pros.
