I'm usually surrounded by people but not last night.
The atmos was still good mainly because I was creating my own
The red zone looked in better nick from what I could see.

Plenty of cheering from this little duck last night but it's not often I can have a conversation on the phone with the lovely lady at home while the game is going off. (she rang me to let me know I'd forgot to record the game )

I was really shocked by the low numbers around me.

Atmosphere aside, did anyone else notice a lot of faces missing in their
      areas?

I think the "missing faces" syndrome will be more evident at the SCG. That's where the brunt of the anger was felt about the seat and package re-classifications. Nonetheless, we should get a good crowd for Round 4 against Carlton. I think quite a few people who didn't renew will turn up for this game, there will be plenty of seats available - although they might be a bit pricey.

We reduced our memberships from four to two and our category from Platinum to Silver, as we are less financial and due to the price hikes they unwisely implemented in a recession.
Didn't yet have the memberships, so joined an immense queue, then an official handed out any old ticket will do to get us into the ground before first bounce... except the gate officials wouldn't have a bar of these tickets.... sweet-talked our way in.
Sat next to some new Swannies, one named Anne taught us the four finger curse when an opposition player is kicking for goal, (tuck two middle fingers under, point the four other fingers towards the player kicking and guide the ball away from the big sticks). It worked on quite a few occasions and was excellent fun.
It was a terrific night, plenty of noise. And faithful were rewarded handsomely which was very acknowledged by the players at the end.
