    Perth-based Swans supporters...

    Hey all,

Am heading over to WA next weekend visiting family over there, and will be making the trip to Subiaco for the Dockers game...just wondering where the best places to eat/drink before the game around Subiaco are? Are there usually pre-match/post-match functions for Swans supporters? I'm aware there's a small but passionate supporter's group over there. Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Sam

Last time I visited (2005) it was the the Irish Club both before and after. But that might have changed.

If you can't get any help from the Sydney Office try the Melb Office. All the non-Sydney supported groups are supported y Tony Morwood out the Melb Office.

There are a few WA members on these forums too.

Matem, the WA Supporters Club aint' small. We have 400 members in WA alone. There will be well over 600 fans sitting all together either upstairs or downstairs in the ANZ Stand.

The Italian Club in North Perth is totally packed with Swans supporters. The pre-match function is usually awesome. You get to mingle with club officials & everyone & it is very inclusive and relaxed.

Even if you don't pay for the lunch, it is still worth coming along to meet everyone then go on the buses to the ground!

      See you there mate!!!!

          Thanks for the responses guys!!

Am in a similar boat to satchmo, will be in town for a wedding so will have the maternal parental unit in tow, not sure about lunch as the game starts at 6:40 local time and will be spending time with the family over there but the Italian Club sounds good, might drop by before the game. I booked through the Swans membership website so I presume that will be the same allocation.

Well you know what I look like. Just look for a diamond shaped flag if you don't.

I'm heading over for the game too, leaving in a couple of hours, with some days in Margaret River planned. Will be my first ever time to Subiaco, though I did go and see a game at the WACA so many years ago it is scary.

Which is what Sydney was referred to in 1994 (as well as 92,93). Then Carlton came here for the round 21 clash, Barrassi coached his 500th game and we beat the team sitting 2nd on the ladder by 8 points.

                  Sydney 3.1 4.7 8.12 9.16 (70)
                  Carlton 3.7 4.8 7.10 8.14 (62)
                  GOALS: Sydney: P.Filandia 3, D.Kappler 2, S.Garlick, J.Mooney, D.Kickett, T.Gray
                  Carlton: S.Kernahan 4, S.Silvagni, E.Spalding, B.Mitchell, C.Bradley
Crowd: 9,622 at Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday, 14th August

"Bye rounds" don't happen unless there are uneven numbers in the comp. Because when you have nothing to lose you can certainly play that way.

I'm making the annual trek across to stir up the feral locals...

This time I want to sit with fellow swans supporters. Is it easiest to do this by buying tickets through the club?

I reckon Dogs fans may have had the same thought about the Eagles yesterday morning.......

                      Maybe not today though!

Yes - but you should have done it several weeks ago - it will be too late now to get them thru the club.

The VIC hotel. Pretty pricey but a good selection of beers available. About a 10 minute walk from Subi.

For the people who are coming to Subi for the first time, get ready to be dissapointed. The place is a hole.

No worries, seems plenty left on Ticketmaster.
