Had a good game on the weekend. Invisible in the first quarter but changed after that and looked to try and find the footy and went and darted around the backline a few times. Very good and hopefully nearing his best.
Ryan O'Keefe - Injured, disinterested or other???

I heard (or read, can't remember) Roos say that O'Keefe and Moore were not playing their usual roles as they were playing as defenders in the forward line.I thought ROK did some nice things on Saturday in what was a good team performance.Achampion team will always beat a team of champions and that was Saturday against Carlton,IMO.Comment

He has been quiet this year which IMO is because our bigger forwards are out he is picking up a better defender. That said he was OK on the weekend and worked into the game after half time and did some good things in the 3rd Q that helped set up a good win.Comment

How about, just out of form?
Still looks to be working hard and is probably being played slightly to close to goal at present due to other forward injuries to use his greatest asset, running capacity.
All players go through these patches when despite still busting a gut they just can't produce. Have a look at Harvey from the Kanga's until this weekend.

He's a gun...and is going 100% Anyone who watched the Carlton game on the weekend would know that their midfield in the first smashed us....and once McVeigh moved onto Judd sending Goodes forward with Kirk, Jude and Bird to look after Gibbs, Stevens & Murphy.....O'Keefe started to roll at HF with (other forwards) Goodes & Grundy as targets. Until then he'd been playing as a forward defender.
Get MOL and Hall back....the disposals will start to rack up!!!"We talked five times. I called him twice, and he called me twice."   :D

Roosy was pleased with ROK's effort against the Blues. O'Keefe had to stay home in the first half but after half time he said he moved him to the midfield and was very pleased with his performance there.
That confirmed my suspicion in that a couple of players were instructed to be "defending" forwards.Good on ROK for sticking to his game plan!!!!!!!Comment

One thing I've noticed, which has brought a little grin to my face, is how much the Swans Official Website is plastering his face all over the site. It seems every second article is about O'Keefe, or has a photo of O'Keefe in it. As it stands right now, there are two articles/promotions heavily featuring O'Keefe in that annoying left hand side box thingy, one article stating his form has improved, one article saying his form WILL improve once Baz and Magic come back (ironically published after the one saying his form had already improved), and he also has the honour of being the only Swans player with his face on the big banner across the top. It's ROK mania!
Seems like the Swans spin machine is working overtime to re-endear ROK to the fans. It's no coincidence Paul Roos' initials are PR!Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!Comment

Doesn't matter what they do to make him look good ... until he starts playing like he really wants to be at Sydney ....Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.Comment

A brilliant theory.
If you apply it to the whole list everyone but Kirk, the Boltons and Jolly are in the exit lounge. The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible newsComment
