Oh yeah, must agree with the comments about gracious Dockers supporters. It was nice to walk out of the ground without getting abused by blue and gold clad mung beans. I think the Dockers supporters were happy with a win and couldn't care less who they were playing.

They are also gracious losers. A couple of years ago I took my nephews to a Dockers/Roos game and the Roos won in the last 5 minutes. (Daniel Wells kicked the goal of the year during that game). Anyway my nephews were pretty excited about seeing their team win and a couple of Dockers supporters came up to them and shook their hands and said, "Well played mate, good win by the roos."
I might have a slight drinking problem. My husband asked me to toast some bread for him...so I raised my wine glass and said "Here's to bread!"

So I promised him that I would buy him a cap and t-shirt. So imagine me...in my red and white glory, buying stuff at the Dockers team store!! He proudly wore his new gear the next day, much to the disgust of hubby who is die-hard Eagles man. (LOL) ...
What a hoot! We are divided similarly - I, mrs d and ms d all swans, son WC and his partner Carlton. Footy can sometimes be a civilising influence!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

In my opinion the Docker supporters up the top of the O?Reilly at the SCG last year were standout loudest, vocal, good natured and humorous supporters who came to visit. Mind you we gave them heaps when the Swans came back to win but they were great.

Due to our mutual hate of the budgie criminals, the quokkas are our friends (... but they gotta do something about the "anchors" on the stadium roof).

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Apart from the questionable aesthetics they'd be totally hopeless if you tried to actually use them as anchors

Had a lovely Italian meal on Northbridge...wandered around Curtin Uni and On Campus accommodation so I can now visualise where my daughter is whilst doing her course. It was lovely to see her....

The Game...didn't get to meet any RWOers but did see JF with his flag down with the cheersquad.I felt like embarrasing my daughter by yelling out"Where are you Liz and Xie Shan?" but I didn't. The man next to me used to be married to a Tasmanian so that was a bit wierd. The cheering was great around us..very vocal. The team looked really professional in the warm-up whilst Freo looked like country bumpkins taking potshots..and that was the only time we were in front.

We kept trying and didn't give up..so I sort of enjoyed the game and there were somecameos..such as Jude and Bevan's tackling that were great.

Some great laughs provided by LRT.

              Lots of hairpulling out.
The atmosphere & active support we created in Perth was excellent. But when you consider we had 2 FULL bays upstairs + our half bay (plus lots around us) downstairs all joining in the chants, that is no wonder. Despite the distance to get over there, Perth is actually the easiest away trip to do. The locals are not only organised but are passionate and reliable. Swans63 even has a bundle of flagpoles he leaves at his place, meaning I have less to take over in the plane.

To their credit the Freo fans didn't boo us or throw things at us like you get against the Eagles & Crows. And after the game there were no tools giving it to us at all. It was decidedly different to the Eagles match experience. The highlight was a feral Eagles fans getting escorted out by security, then trying to belt him. He got belted the cops & security, was doused with beer & was heckled by both sets of supporters

At the pre-match function the head of the supporters club went on to say something really interesting. She said that by sticking by the Swans & not giving in to the constant bullying you get for NOT following a WA-based side you are showing admirable attributes that will hold you in good stead later in life.

I feel for our WA-based fans. They were so depressed after the game back at the Italian Club. They see one game a year live & had to put up wih that effort! Luckily so was Teddy Richards & LRT.

Just beat Richmond this weekend fellas!

Oh really, they are kind of like supporters when it suits them over there huh?

Absolutely ROK! I couldn't agree more! They were going to taser him at one stage. Amazing scenes that would have been.
