.....surprised nobody included Liam Pickering in their complaints....that bloke is attrocious (especially with his tendancy to call Jarrad McVeigh by his brothers name).

I used to get upset at anti-Sydney parochial commentary....but have realized that as a Swans fan....this just won't go away.

At least there are a few out there who can evenly call a game. Pity the best one died so young
"We talked five times. I called him twice, and he called me twice."   :D

Wasn't he the one actually calling the play when Davo sent through his fourth in 2005?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

It did give some insight into how the young players of other clubs can be pumped up by having a fair chunk of media attention- at one point Bird was chasing after a ball with his head over it and was cleaned up by a fair bump from a Docker. The commentators went nuts about the courage, that it was great to see that from a second year player- I was assuming they meant Bird (who kept his head over the ball even though he probably knew he was going to get cleaned up and is a second year player) until it was then added that it was a great effort, and "Craig Bird is a pretty nuggety man, too!" and I realized the Docker!

Was watching the sunday footy show on Channel 9, Nathan Thompson was doing the analysis of the freo vs swans game, Brownless asked him something like...."How did Grundy go? Did they play him up forward like last week? I thought he played well up forward last week."(against Carlton). Thompson's reply was(and I'm not lying here)... "umm, yeh, uhhh Grundy did play well, in fact the whole Freo side played well, they were just harder at the ball and and harder at the man than what Sydney were and Grundy was certainly one of the players that did this all night for the Fremantle side", I just sat there gobsmacked, no one corrected him on his obvious mistake, even though I could have sworn I heard some giggling off to the side by Crawford and Brownless(realising the mistake he had made). I was so pissed off about this, here is a guy, being paid to be a (cough)footy expert(cough), and he doesnt know the players/sides he is reporting on. Am I really going to take what he has to say too seriously in the future? No @#$%^ way!!!

One of the worst bits of the game was the camera getting a close up of a Freo Doctors (huge) ass for 4 minutes or so.

            Unnecessary!

The close-up of Kirk's face was good. Can anyone remember what quarter it was?

Pretty sure it was the 3rd quarter. It was funny to look at.

I thought that was the Coopers Green playing tricks with my eyes.

Like I said, I am taking my ball and going home. No point in watching the tv.
                      Dumb twits.
I am just going to watch it live. With my gorgeous Snapper for company.

I hope you bring plenty of ice, the smell might be a bit rank after 3 hours.

You have no appreciation of physical gorgeousness Scott!! even if he can't manage five minutes without his shirt hanging out.

I'm surprised no one has said anything about the "anchors" on top of the stadium roof at Subi.

I had to double-check THREE times before I realised they were anchors.

                              Good grief!!
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

YES Annie, good call, I was watching it at a friends house on Saturday night and metioned to him "take a close look at those anchors on the roof and tell me what it looks like?".
