If he's fit, Bird in. If he can't play next week, he'll probably have to come in via the reserves for a week or so. If Bird's not ready, maybe give Smith a run.
Crouch is a likely in too, if he has a reasonable game in Canberra this weekend.
Outs - Malceski and Thornton would seem the two most likely.
No way in hell. Buchy was one of our better performers, despite a couple of shocking kicks, Hall had one bad game, but that was mostly down to his teammates not kicking the bloody ball to him, and Jack did nothing wrong (remember, he's a tagger, not a ballwinner).
Bird for Thornton would be my only change, provided Bird is fit. Otherwise, Barlow for Thornton.
My thoughts are that you shouldn't drop players who are named in the best? And BBBB will be ok as soon as we kick it in his general direction. Its no wonder he packed up and went home after that Mattner forward 50 entry.

Buchanan racked up a few posessions. Doesn't mean he played well mate.
Kicking is a massive weakness of his and I personally don't think he should play senior footy again until it improves. In this day and age you've just got to be able to hit targets consistently.
I can think of 3 or 4 occasions today where he just butchered it, and I mean really butchered it.
you want to drop the bloke that held Jimmy Bartel to 11 possessions in three quarters and 19 for the game?
Remember Bartel is averaging 32 and had 41 last week.
Jack would probably have got best on from the coaching staff.
"It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.
Whatever you're smoking, you should stop it.
Buchanan needs to keep going in the firsts - he will gain nothing from time in the twos.
Likewise Jack - the potential is obvious, the skill needs to be honed against the best. He will repay in time.
But Hall?! That really takes the cake. I agree with Roos. Roos points the finger at midfield, not Hall - RFNews - realfooty.com.au
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
He would probably get 50 posession a game in that comp.
And when he was back there a week or two ago, he would have got maybe not 50 but probably over 30 and kicked a bag of goals too.
I actually quite liked Monty's game yesterday. His work rate seemed higher than it has been for much of the last 18 months, and he looked to have picked up some pace. He's one player who seemed to be able to create a bit of a gap between him and the chasing player. He had one terrible kick that I can remember but his skills otherwise didn't look any worse than the rest of the team's.
And not so much this week, but in the other senior games he's played in 2009, he's started to deliver some excellent short passes into the 50m zone. In 2005-6 he was pretty much the best on the team at finding that short lead up target in a crowded forward 50m and if he can refind that touch consistently, he's still got a lot to offer.
I wouldnt drop Hall, I will have a bet with anyone he will kick 3 goals against cocaine eagles. The delivery is shocking pls come back Tadhg
I would drop Jack for someone who can tackle and pass a ball, Kirk, J Bolton and Buchannon are shocking passers we dont need a 4th.

Wasn't Jack on Bartel who was kept quiet for most of the day?
Also, how many targets does Kirky actually miss?
