*Warning - Serious post is serious*

There's a bloke called Patrick Rose playing at Williamstown this year. He's played a lot as a small (accurate) forward but his blistering pace has prompted a move to the midfield where he's a ball magnet. Not a bad option if he can hold a tackle, and at 82kg he just might. Worth a look?

The only possible downside - he'll be 23 this year. Take your pick what that means in terms of development or ready-made. He trained with the Maggies and Doggies the last two years but niether wanted him. Would Sydney?

We should never close the door on players currently playing a level down from the AFL - in many ways getting a guy like this could be less of a risk than drafting all skinny 17 and 18 yo kids.

I say "aye" to the Humphster.
The great Paul Kelly was a man of few words but great deeds.

          As for this:

Adam Hunter is Woosha's Plan B! Can we take both?

As for Harley (be still my heart) - Woosha's assistant coach in charge of backs! He will sort out Humphrey and LRT.

Look, guys like this can play..there is no risk there.its whether they can follow the game plan, run down the other end to flood, take heavier physical punishment and still get up and play..some lower level players can, some can't.You don't know unless you try them. I know a guy like this who was playing at a minor level in a club with 6 amatuer sides. He was used as a reserve by the A1 side because 3 players were late due to a road accident. He had to come on in the first quarter and was Best on Ground. You never know who is going to be a champion unless you play them.

On Rose 9and players like him) it really is a surprise that our esteemed "the draft is a lottery" coach has not taken any late blooming players from the VFL, SNAFL or WAFL.

Nahas, A. Davey (x2!!!!) plus some Eagles and Port players I can't name at the moment. I mean how bloody good is Nahas??? How on earth could nobody think his VFL form would translate to the AFL? Don't these recruiters own a stopwatch....fast is fast...accurate kicking for goal is....accurate kicking for goal. Everyone is optimistic that Vez will be a star, but, honestly, we missed the boat on Rioli.....(OK maybe, just maybe, we'll take on board the gossip that he would never have played as well if had moved from Melbourne).
