On the whole our crowds have been p*** poor this year. I think it's likely that the Collingwood game will be our biggest home crowd to date. Agree with the other posts that we are well overdue to knock off the 'pies: surely we're not going to get a better chance than this.

If we do what we did yesterday - flatten the Dogs running game as we did well until last year - and control the ball until we get it quickly into our forward 50 we have a good chance. If we let them play open footy we'll loose - as we will if we do this slow, steady getting the ball forward only to find 17 Dog have got there before it. If we play like we did yesterday (
Fast attacking opponent group at their attacking forward 50m is weakest when we get the ball, vice versa. Kicking the ball mid-distance over this opponent group running low in O2 or running fast in the center width corridor would be more effective than stop, look and look, crabbing back and forth, and hug the boundary approach while they gather themselves man on man or postion in space or flood back. We then get into tight corners with 20-30% chance of conversion, as compared to direct approach direct, ending in more grabs in areas directly in front of the posts with much greater 80-90 % chance of kicking goals. The shortest direct from middle approach or less opponents flooding at forward 50m due to quicker into 50m, allow you the luxury of centralising your kicks from forward boundaries for better positions.

If the group attack is evenly distributed between us and the doggies, I have ALOT more confidence in our forward/multi-attack, re Hall being integral part of it, in maxing the inside 50s, re Vs PA game

Bury the old tired Swan constant hugging the boundary approach to Delhi Road North Ryde cemetry, 6 feet under. We have been found out. Our game plan B Vs PA has great look to it. Now we need to fine tune it and repeat the dose and further stamp our authority whoever the opponents are.

Whatever they have done pre-game to be hard and competiitive from the first minute go from thepast 2 games, include Vs Pa, we want more. Catchup footy down by 5 goals in first quarter should be cremated in Rookwood crematorium.

I think that if the boys have a decent win against the Dogs, doesnt have to be huge (but that would help the percentage of course), but it would be a huge confidence booster none the less. Then its the Hawks, and we have already beaten them this year. The Hawks havent got as much sting this year as they did last year. Its possible that the boys can go into the half year break feeling pretty good hopefully with two extra wins. Of course Collingwood will be the real test, and they are having a bumpy trip themselves. anyway fingers, legs & toes crossed!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

I've said before, the Swans can lost, so long as Collingwood also lose.
If the Wobbles win, then the Swans also have to win to make me feel better about the round as a whole.

If the Swans lose any given round, and the Wobbles win in the same round, then the only thing worse than that is if they played each other.
It's leave the country kind of stuff for me.
Just to get away from it all.....
I know, we MUST beat them! Especially in Sydney! Everytime collingwood looses it doesnt feel as good as when the swans win, but it is a good feeling, no matter who they are playing (although I am 50-50 when they play west coast) I just hope upon hope that they NEVER win another GF, it would be just too hard to take, definately leave the country stuff!
