    changes overdue

we have carried grundy and ablett long enough, neither are contributing anything.malceski's day out in the ressies proved nothing.
time now for the inclusion of currie and laidlaw and the return of bird.
the minimum need for next week.hopefully vespa will be ready soon.

Agreed, Ablett and Grundy r just rubbish. Laidlaw has to come in, so does Veszpa. Bird should also come back in. I don't get why Roos is dropping so many of our younger guys yet is keeping alot of the senior guys. That was our problem in the first place.

Grundy has been good this season. He was bad yesterday but LRT was worse. So if you want to drop blokes on the back of one bad performance, then LRT has to go aswell.

Come to think of it most of our blokes were pretty @@@@e yesterday. There's no point singling out Grundy and Ablett....because they weren't alone let me tell you.

The thing we need is pace. Laidlaw simply HAS to come in. He's been in great form and deserves a call up.

Ablett is a complete waste of a spot in the team.

We just need to cut and paste this every week.
Actually he is more than a waste of a spot, he is actually holding the team back.

I have been on this site for a long time now and think this is the first time I have really felt this strongly about a player, even when Rowan Warfe was s@#$ and Frosty was struggling.
I suppose the thing about Ablett is that he has never been great. Warfe, Frosty, Davis, Stafford, ... at least those guys would have had a game or two where they had a bit of a day out, nothing like that springs to mind for Ablett.

As stated in another thread, team selection was the first area we were behind the 8 ball with the Dogs.We were carrying Ablett and it hurt us. Grundy gives us nothing but still has some uncertainty whether he can improve.Ablett has no uncertainty. He should have been traded but I seriously doubt anyone would want him.Way too slow for AFL,poor decision making, and the work he used to do in the centre (why he was in the team) he no longer does.I like Laidlaw but he needs a few games, Currie ..its time and don't forget Pyke .lets exploit having 4 talls ,have one in the forward pocket.one in ruck ,one make into a KPP.....let's do something...

              Ins; Laidlaw, Curry, Thornton, Bird
Outs: Grundy, Ablett, Moore(disciplinary) and Malceski.
Laidlaw takes Malceski's spot, Curry into the ruck, White into defense taking Grundy's spot and Bird for Moore. I've left Crouch in not because he "kept Acker quiet" but because his match up on Cyril should be his last game of senior football for the Bloods. For those who think Crouch has stiill got it against a quick, skillful and young small forward, strap yourselves in next week.

Jarred Moore just doesnt do enough for me.
To in and out of games, no sustained efforts and has become a blinkered player in front goals. His improvement has stalled.

Nick Malceski , just a shadow of what he was.
Sad to say, but he at the moment isnt up to AFL Level.
He lookes scared at the contest and simply doesnt go to the contest either.
He cant even run and use the footy either. Back to the 2s.

Luke Ablett : Gives us zippo

These guys have to have a spell, Laidlaw has to be given a run ,along with Nick Smith and Barlow/Bird

                  disciplinary for Moore.

Whats he done, he was put in the leadership group for his level head more than anything else. His forms not great but can you explain this a little further.

He has selfishly had a shot at goal when a player in a better position was calling for it.This happened against Port as well and continued on against the Dogs.Unfortunately he missed his shots.Needs to play the team game..hence disciplinary action needed like agame or two in the 2's.

agree with this point , jolly was alone in the goal square and would have goaled, instead moore took a kick at goal and missed, from the kick in dogs took it up and scored a 12 point turnaround and i feel this was the real turning point in the game. moore tends to tack the kick on the run way to often and he isnt the most accurate kick around so its a bad percentage play. time to learn the team thing in the 2s.
have to agree with ablett i have defended him for 2 seasons now based on the 1 % s he does but im even battling to see those at the moment.
grundy looks lost out there, he is slow and indecisive but i think he may keep his place against the hawks.
melcho is way off the pace at the moment but i think he needs to play off the backline with mattner and shaw.
lrt what a shocker but we expect that now and again, on that game deserves to be dropped but will hold his place.
hopefully vespa is ok to go and can come in for ablett, then its time for thornton , laidlaw and barlow to show they are the deal.so hopefully we see them in sooner rather than later .

Fair call. I just wasn't sure we were talking for a behavioral incident or a selfish team incident.

Match committee needs to take partial responsibility for Sat's debacle - even the nuff-nuffs of RWO could see there was no sense in LRT or Ablett being on the ground this week but those two mismatches went a long way to contributing to the result.

The person most missed yesterday was Bird.

He is the clean hands in-tight guy.

O'Keefe works well in midfield, and works his butt off, but yesterday he was responsible for quite a number of the fumbles and failures at the tap outs which stopped our momentum and gave up chances to the Dogs.

I am happy that Bird was protected from further expose after his concussion - he is young and it was nasty bash and he is so important to our future withou Kirk and B1.

Yes. I thought that as well. Doesn't do a Lot, but usually does it quite well.
And the clean hands has been mentioned before about him.
