I am happy that Bird was protected from further expose after his concussion - he is young and it was nasty bash and he is so important to our future withou Kirk and B1.

O'keefe's played all of his career has a forward so can't blame him for a few fumbles when moved into the centre for the first time in his career.

        I disagree.
Not on his talent, just that he doesn't do much.

With the amount of game time he is given - usually a little over half the match - he's still pulling 15-20 genius touches a game.

(Does anyone know where to find the game time stat online?)

I've said it before, Bird in the middle as much as Ablett is (With Luke banished to the cold hard land of SibCanberra) will greatly help our midfield.

Grundy should stay in the team.

For Christ's sake you lot are worse than a bunch of Richmond supporters.
Everything was rosy only a week ago, and now we got towelled up by a better team than us on the day and you want half the team kicked out never to return again.
We're not Geelong (although I wish we were).

on second thoughts, why am I even bothering, you'll all just turn on me now anyway.......

OK, So I could phrased it better. Not a high possession getter (not taking TOG into account).
He does offer a lot more positives, than Ablett.

Try the Stats Homepage on the little side meun to your left, for TOG stats.

PS: LOL Nico, should've left that one in, mate!!

Laidlaw takes Malceski's spot, Curry into the ruck, White into defense taking Grundy's spot and Bird for Moore. I've left Crouch in not because he "kept Acker quiet" but because his match up on Cyril should be his last game of senior football for the Bloods. For those who think Crouch has stiill got it against a quick, skillful and young small forward, strap yourselves in next week.
Crouch did great on the wankermanis. After the captains, then duck butt, then Blind Barry, I think Crouch was next best. Crouchy will make it to the end of the year.

Well Goodes was probably Best on Ground,Hall kicked 6 goals ,Craig Bolton was superb,Akka who has been winning games for them was negated by Couch and we lose by 40points?????? This is surely worthy of a deeper analysis than yours? Something is wrong with the gasme plan or coaching or personell. We are a better team than this!

I thought we towelled ourselves up.

Everything was rosy a week ago because we were playing rosier footy. I still contend that we play the SCG better than any other ground and this sometimes clouds our judgement about how we are travelling. Some opposition sides look clueless on the SCG which may at times provide us with a false belief about how good we are. It's all too Jekyll and Hyde for me at the moment, but I'm not calling for any heads. Teams in the main pick themselves.

                        ScottH - fair call.

Hartijon - no deep analysis needed. We play to our best (like v PA) we beat 14 other teams, simple as that. We only need to be 5% off and five or six of them beat us. Yes, we are a much better team than v WB, but why kick out all the blokes who did the job so well only six days earlier?

Lohengrin - That's a low blow to a 21-year member. Maybe I phrased it wrong. I meant I wish we had Geelong's ability, not their club. Lucky you added the smiley on the end or I might have got another (undeserved) yellow car.

Snajik - Not a bad call. We do own the SCG, but we have a good record in Canberra as well. However, as I said above - why sack half a team that dominated a week ago.

I may get disappointed and even despondent from time to time, but I will always keep the faith in my Swannies and what they're doing.
Bet there won't be a thread like this next week when we beat Hawthorn.

Canberra record isn't bad, though after Saturday it's now 5 wins 4 losses and 1-2 against the Dogs. I think that record may also have been inflated by beating a bottoming out Melbourne on two occasions.

Ill take that ride cos i think he will do great on rioli. He just has to change his tactics abit so rioli cant get on a fast lead! Ah Rioli..the one we let get away. Who did we pick instead????? um....
Every time I see this guy play i wish he was in our team but then again would he still have the individualistic flair and would he be benched for having a shot from impossible angles? But he at least kicks goals and his defensive pressure is superb!
