, it would have been great to see him nail a long goal from 50 instead of passing off to Jolly! He was very good again today, it was a shame he missed that gettable set shot at the end that would have given us a final chance to pinch it, but he's only human and it wasn't the reason we lost.

But he found Jolly unmarked, closer to goal and on a very gettable angle. And it was Jolly, not Kirk or Buchanan or Richards. Jolly kicks those 8 times out of 10. If he'd tried to pinpoint someone under more pressure than Jolly was, and landed up turning the ball over, I could understand the sentiment that he should have had the kick himself, but as it is, I can't see how anyone could criticise his decision in that instance - especially because a few moments later he missed a long shot at goal himself when he was slightly closer to goal.

Get real. That says more about the team than Goodes.

But as previously suggested, it is rare that any one player drags a team over the line if he doesn't have enough team mates also playing well.
