    By that statement, you're basically saying one of the spots will belong to Pyke or White. So it's 3 out of 5 = 60%

            It does take many months to recover from Dengue. His preseason would've been very disrupted.

                Following this "logic": Two of the other spots will NOT go to him which leaves 1 out of 2 = 50%.

                    Surely they're kidding us at Hawthorn naming Luke Hodge. He wont play, but then again I said on a couple of occassions last week that Gilbee and higgins wouldent play, and guess what, they did.

                        I don't know what logic you derived out of my statement. My theory was a basic summation that one of the spots would go to a ruckman.

                                One spot will go to a ruckman. Meaning that selection is split into two events: Pyke vs White for one spot, and the other five for three spots, which means that Mal is a 3 in 5 chance of being selected (or 60%).
