There was a great shot of JF and Simon and one of our moderaters at one stage giving it to one of the Hawthorn players. Highlight of the match so far.

We try our guts out there is no denying that. We just don't have the skill.

      Barely.

I've been a fan, but today should be his day at the fall of the ball in wet conditions, but he has been barely sighted (admittedly watching on TV so can be deceiving re: off the ball work).

Vespa will play next week in the 2's, so with 3 games under his belt I reckon that could be the change. Smith for Buchanan as well.

Very frustrating game to watch because the Swans are making everything so hard for themselves. We need someone like Jude to set himself for a monster final quarter - something he's certainly capable of - or otherwise I fear the Hawks will just get too much ball out of the middle.

That last passage of play sums up our problems:

A hand pass to Malceski under pressure, showing a lack of awareness from a Swans' player for the 600th time today
Malceski's lack of pace to break a tackle and have a shot on goal
O'Keefe no right foot with a weak shot on goal from 20m out
Hall giving away another free kick

Don't the reserves have the bye next weekend - or the weekend off, any way?

To my knowledge he's still off after he got injured (he was definitely off when Jolly was being assessed). So I'm not sure who replaced him as Osbourne's opponent when he went off injured. As you said he contained him in the first half it was the 3rd quarter that was worrying.

With the split round next week, I wouldn't be surprised if Vespa comes straight back in for the Pies match instead of playing another match in the Ressies.

Bolton has been a star today. He's in the thick of everything for us. I hope he can bring us home.
