As I said before, it's not about getting plenty of touches. If I was Roos, Malceski getting 40 touches a game would mean jack all to me. If he had 20 disposals, and 15 of them were contested, he kicked with penetration, tackled and chased, just played like a terrier out there, that would be far more convincing an effort. I agree that the problem is above the head. So you don't just say, "Mal, go back to the ressies and find some touch by playing the same way you already are but against easier opposition", it's "Mal, go back to the ressies and start doing this, this, and this, and once you're doing that we'll see if you can do it against the big boys".
As for Moore, I think it's the opposite. He's doing all the physical things right, his contested work has been fantastic, he's just not getting into the right positions and finding the ball. If Moore could go back to the reserves and do what Mal would do naturally, and Mal could go back to the reserves and do what Moore would do naturally, that would be a perfect result.
