We will miss B2 no doubt but I cant see a problem with that backline. LRT gets his usual job on someonemore experienced and bigger bodied, I suppose Ted at CHB is a bit of a worry, given he is undersized for that role, certainly not lacking in heart though. Really, itcomes down to the midfield, can we wim the ball there, if Kirk and B1 do their usual in and under tough stuff, we are a big chance, just need toe other guys with leg speed to feeed off them, get Goodesy in the middle, along with Jack and ROK and have ROK kick long and direct into the forward 50 Baz and Mick will do the rest

      LRT 108 games 95 kg v John Anthony 22 games 92 kg.

Just because LRT plays crap and looks like a giraffe people think him inexperienced and underweight. His biography will be titled "Right place, right time".

The last time I bet on Collingwood to win this match was a one dollar bet in 2005. If that's what it takes for us to win maybe I should do it again.

LRT will undoubtedly start on Cloke, as he has the last umpteen times we've played the Pies when they've both been in their respective teams.

I suspect Ted will get Anthony.

The smaller forwards are the concern, particularly with Bolton out. The only small mercy is that Medhurst isn't playing.

Neon Leon has been playing more as a midfielder this year and is arguably their most inform player. Crouch could get the job but I reckon Roosey will start out with Jack. He's been quite effective this year in shutting down some very good players but Davis in his current form would be the toughest he's faced yet.

If Jack does get the Davis role, that will probably leave Crouch on Dick. I shudder to think who'll be thrown at Didak. I can see Thornton being given a role as a midsized defender but Didak would be a huge ask for him in his 4th senior game (or is it his 5th?). Maybe he'll get Lockyer instead, who's been playing a lot as a half-forward and is quite dangerous in front of goal. Which might mean Mattner has to take Didak...

Let's hope our midfield wins lots of the ball!

Mattner would seem to be quite a good matchup for Daisy, except Daisy took two rippers over him last time at Homebush which meant that Bolts had to move onto Daisy after halftime (and shut him down to boot)

Agree that LRT-Cloke, Richards-Anthony are almost givens, and I like the sound of Rhyce on Didak. Or if Rhyce doesn't tag and goes back to the half back line, I wonder if Mick will contemplate a Heath defensive forward tagging job.

I think Thornton will run in the midfield, not sure on whom, perhaps Swan, but it seems coaches have a dislike for tagging him apparently due to his relatively less efficient disposal of the ball. Smith will probably find himself in a similar role to what Eski has been doing, up forward but with a view to keeping his opponent quiet - Clarke or Shaw come to mind.

We're going to miss B2 but I'm more worried how we're going to match up on their midfield... they have smashed us in recent times and have been ferocious at the ball... typical of Malthouse-coached teams really, like we used to be. I just get the feeling it's going to be a tough night for some of our kids who may struggle to match that ferocity, but I think if we can take the game on we're a chance, as LRT and Ted *should* be able to handle Cloke and Anthony, it's their small-medium-sized forwards I'm worried about!

They junk must have really slipped in the box for this to happen. How is it for them to decide for this decision.

Go and get a bowl of perspective you dopey selectors!

Will Bevan be used as a stepping ladder for Thomas again?

Not possible. Anyone has already been selected. The 31 year old tagger who garners between 4 and 6 touches a game. Way of the future. Way to go.
