I am posting a reply I did for another thread. Our loss record against Adelaide
is even worse than Collingwood.
Next Saturday we face Adelaide whom we have not beaten since
Round 15 2004 at the SCG So how many games has that been now. The only two teams we have a worse record against are Fitzroy (1996) and University (1914).
Lets look at this in more detail:
1. Will Sydney go in with a different game plan? - NO
2. Will we play exactly the same way as previously? - YES
3. Will we get convincingly beat? - Yes
4. Will Roos put the blame on the players again? - YES
Can anyone recall Roos putting his hand up saying that he stuffed up?
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

What's the problem? Winning games merely gets in the way of the number one aim of a football club - ie tanking to get higher draft picks.
And as an added bonus, with McVeigh and Crouch in doubt and Roos also suggesting Bolton won't be back, he's almost forced to bring both MOD and Brabazon into the team. That will account for pretty much every player on our list who
- isn't injured
- isn't in Ireland
- isn't still at school
- weighs more than 8 stone
- has been playing AFL for more than 5 minutes

It's gonna do wonders for our kicking efficiency!
Surely this is better than the same old players the same old game plan and the same old loss.At least we get to see our youngsters handling real pressure
I'm very excited about the Adelaide game. I may ahve mentioned it, but for the first time I'll be behind the goals and with the Cheers squad. It's one of those experiences you kinda always talk about wanting to do and finally it'll happen.
Swans by 3 goals !
Gee I love the supreme optimist! Win. lose or draw, I hope you really enjoy the game.

You won't think when they get smashed. Just ask Melbourne supporters if they've enjoyed the last three years. Who do you want to drop and who do you want to bring in? We've been in winning positions over the last two weeks against two contenders - if we'd managed to win one of them, you'd have a totally different perspective.
Playing Brabazon and O'Dwyer will not help us win games of footy, it will only add to our poor kicking.
Bloods
"Lockett is the best of all time" - Robert Harvey, Darrel Baldock, Nathan Burke, Kevin Bartlett, Bob Skilton

I just got a shiver up my spine when I read your optimism. The veiled optimism that a team on the slide uses at PR placation. I hear it from the Tigers often.
Why didn't we close out those games? Did we drop a notch or did those teams lift and when they did we didn't have the fire power to go-with?
All signs are that we will get pumped this weekend. The biggest being the confidence shattering losses of the past 2 rounds. By rights, the form is okayish, but the mind is now weak.
I hope I am wrong, way wrong.

Your post depressed me somewhat as I'm afraid it's so close to the truth.
I'm a "glass half full" type of person usually, always have been, but each week it's getting harder and harder to keep the faith!
I'm just happy that I love the team regardless.....
Only 1 change this week. Craig Bolton to come in for Crouch.
I would put Reg Grundy down forward, and MOL on the bench.
Would love to have Vesper in for Moore, but no such luck, due to injury.
I'd move Reg to FF mick in a pocket and probably agree with Crouch out, although I love Criouchy to death he had a shocker last week and probably should pay the penalty, Vesper in??????????????? Orreal????????????/ Currie?????????????? O'dwyer???????????/ Brabazon?????????/ Might as well bite the bullet this tear as next
The crows are an ordinary team at best. They play good against the forward running teams who they have recently defeated- blues, hawks (this year) and bombers, but got whacked against the teams that aimed up: port, doggies and lions. The bloods will do them in a canter. Join with me my friends and pillage the $4.00 those bookies have on offer.
