Yeah, no bolton is going to be tough seeing as Adelaide have a few decent forwards, especially Porps.

      Bad: No McVeigh

      Bad: Crouch

Good: has to be the youngest team in a few years 8 players 22 or under from my calculations

      Good: No Ablett

Extremely surprised Crouch has survived the chop given Roos' comments last week.

Interesting that they've not succumbed to the temptation to bring Ablett or Malceski in, given that both were named in the reserves' best last week. And also a bit surprised that they've opted for Brabazon over MOD, since MOD's recent form seems to have been better than Brabazon's (and also I would have thought MOD has a marginally better chance of being on the list next year than Brabazon).

Very interesting about Crouch. He went into last week way under done having trained once in a fortnight for a miserly 20 minutes. HE MUST HAVE TRAINED THE HOUSE DOWN THIS WEEK.

            Very perplexing indeed.

Reasonable changes. Brabazon needs to prove his worth and Vespremi has shown a lot of promise.

I get the feeling that had Bolton come up, Crouch would have been gone. As it is, Adelaide have quite a few small goal-scoring options. None of Porplyzia, Knights or Dangerfield (1st, 3rd and 5th in their goalkicking this year) break 190 cm. Basically, we need small defenders to play on them. Bolton can fill this role, but isn't available, so Crouch gets a reprieve. I can see LRT taking Tippet, Crouch taking Porplyzia (after all, he's only had one bad game this year, and if he's fit now...), and Bevan and Mattner on Knights/Dangerfield.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

Yeah the Adelaide forward line is a fair bit more dangerous without C bolts probably LRT to Tippett Richards to the Porpoise Grundy to Taylor Walker then Beavan and Crouch to Dangerfield/Knights.
It would look a lot better for us with Bolton on the porp

Guys like Brabazon, O'Dwyer and Schmidt will be on the chopping block at the end of the year so we might aswell give them a chance. Well done to the coaches on that, we really don't have anything to lose by doing it.

                    Great to see Vez back.

Agree on Braba and O'Dwyer, but with Schmidt it will only come down to whether his body is not up to it otherwise he has shown enough to stay and with the list as fine as it is, he will need to stay.

Crouch lets the team down by playing when he shouldn't and puts in a pathetic performance. Coach acknowledges as much...then picks him the very next week...
                            Surely there are better options....

With Adelaide's horde of smaller forward options, including midfielders like Knights who can drift forward, guys like Crouch are needed. So long as he's fit (and I guess he recovered well after playing injured last week), he needs to be out there. I thought he wouldn't be fit, but, unless Roos and Crouch are making the same mistake they made last week, I guess I was wrong.
