Leo's not playing so someone has to take his place!

I personally think Ted Richards would make a good full forward. I think we may be in need of one shortly.

He'd only be effective if we kicked it over his head and he had to run back with the flight though.... Hey, maybe that's an idea! Roos' Roost!

His good games aren't very good. After ten years playing footy, when he should be in his prime, his best quality seems to be "how hard he tries".

Geez we're harsh. I'm very happy for Teddy to be in our top 22. Not all the swans can be superstars and he's reliable enough.

It seems that many on here would only be happy with a team full of Judds, Abletts (G jnr not L) and Franklins!
Though I'm sure they would still find something to complain about.

I think a few of you were listening too much to shaws commentary on teds game. Geez he gave it to him continuously throughout the crows game on Fox.

Teds a good third defender. He isnt now and will never be the main defender in our team and its only through current necessity that he takes that role.

                  Pretty shoddy defence....

Not terrible Ted but Terrific Ted! Here we have a guy who has taken his chances and made a career in professional sport with only average skills.Ted gives it a go and mostly does well. When your midfield doesn't win a single center clearance for a whole quarter and the ball is coming your way without respite and you are competing with some of the most talented forwards on the planet...sure..sometimes it gets too much and he stuffs up..he is human after all.Don't forget the kind of unequal pressure our backlines bear week after week due to our erratic centre clearances. Teddy had Norm smith written all over him in 2006 till he knocked himself out.Our Teddy..not a Rhodes scholar but a true Swan warts and all.

I'd complain if we had a midfield of Gabletts and Judds, and a forwardline of Franklins, but not a Scarlett to be found...

Teddys out of form, but compared to some of the others in defence Teddy has a footy brain & will always contest when the balls kicked in quickly, which can't be said for several others.

"Has a footy brain" - WHAT? Pfft. Sometimes I'm not sure he knows which team he's playing for.

As much as I dig them, I think the Swans defence must some times more scared of Ted + LRT than Buddy & Roughead - they are one scary combination when they get together (witness the HTB free in Q3(?) vs the Crows - "you have it" "no, you have it")

Don't know what games ya'll have been watching, but out of all the crap pretending to be footy that's been dished up this year, IMO Ted has been a highlight. He is quite often the "last line of defence".

                                Ted stays.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
