    Vesper's post goal celebration

    I LOVED IT!!

We need someone to show some genuine enthusiasm and excitement! I just hope he did not get pulled up by the coaches over it.

Let's see more of it Vesper!!

Shaw's was simply very pumped (and a little too Lleyton for my liking).

Whereas Vespa's was somewhere between pumped and weird. But delivered with unwavering conviction. And it's captured on official AFL video here, in the '8 games, 8 moments' highlights package between half and two-thirds of the way through. (It works about once every 6 times I try to load it, which isn't bad for Bigpond, I guess.)

Vespa should be encouraged to celebrate - we need the personalities in the game. Onya kid!

Of course he fell. Most people who look like members of the Thunderbirds when they run, with arms flailing forward erratically, would fall over as well.

Fantastic. MOL had to grab him by the head to calm him down.

                I love what Vespa said:
?I practise those at training all the time but I always miss them. To kick it, I couldn?t believe it,? he said

I loved it too, pure enthusiasm, slipped and still kept celebrating.

That's what we need, sheer enjoyment from the boys, and Vespa is a natural at it. Its not grandstanding - its good fun. Go kid go.

                        i thought it was great....

the good thing aas well you could see him start to switch back on when MOL came over to him...
Deep breaths etc getting himself right again....

finally a dynamic small forward..something we have lacked last few years i reckon.

Love MOL's celebrations as well. Will miss him so much
Vespa is on the way to being a crowd favourite, but let's not be too hard on Shaw. Methinks there could be some lingering Collingwood hate surrounding him just yet. He has shown, however, much passion in his games for us all year and will only get better. Vs North he ran himself into the ground. He's won me over, almost.

Shaw and the Vez share a common trait. Hunger for the ball. Their celebrations exemplify just how hungry they are. I wish every swans player could be that fired up every game.

I've been away and missed the thread, I caught the second half of the game and I enjoyed Vespa's celebration but yeah I thought it was weird too. Shaw's was just... bizarre as it came out of nowhere in the context of the game, thought he looked like a bit of a tool to be honest! Fair call on the Lleyton comparison. Perhaps he thought the Sydney crowd wasn't feral enough compared to what he's used to, and was trying to fire them up

I like Vesz's enthusiasm, his chasing and forward line pressure/tackling was an absolute highlight of the second half, and exactly what the team needs, I rated it just behind Bird's final quarter which I thought was just outstanding, but it's true not everyone can pull off that kind of exuberance after kicking a goal!!

I got the video to load and it confirmed what I suspected at the time, I think his excitement was more due to seeing one of his young fans in the crowd after kicking a goal.
