If we can offer Rodney's Bulldogs something worth it, or better then Richmond, Fremantle, Melbourne, West Coast or North can stump for, and maybe others depending on where we finish.

    For the record, Lake is;
    - 195cm and 104kg
    - Currently 27 (Born Feb '82)
    - 138 games, 5 finals (round 16, 2009)

Given his age and experience, I'd say 5 years is the absolute most left in his tank, around 100 games. Is that what we are looking for rather then a younger player with more to give? Zac Dawson is out of the question, but anyone else?

On the Marngrook Footy Show last night it was said Haselby was out of contract and likely to move. He is 29.

And the Bulldogs should do better. If the AA Team were to be picked right now then he'd be either FB or CHB.

He's a very important cog in the Bulldog machine and I'd be surprised if they let him go without a decent offer.

Having said that, it'd be great to have him at the Swans. I get the feeling that punching above his weight for so long is starting to take a toll on C Bolts.

P.S. Personally I wouldn't want him any other way than via the PSD - we can't afford to trade for him.
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

they will most likely let other players go before him.

i guess with salary cap room what do you do..
given the swans financial pressures at the moment, they may consilidate for a year or 2, knowing they are rebuilding to ease some pressure financially.

but then again, if you get the right player it creates dollars in marketing.

I personally wouldn't be going for a defensive KPP i think we are ok down there..
a quality and i mean outstanding quality midfielder that can quick 20+ a year and deliver quality ball into the forward line.

our yng forwards will be better for it if they dont go down the path of getting a big name forward.

if hodge was avail you would go for him, but play him across the CHF line...

i wouldn't go for him, injury prone, not quick enough and not consistant enough except only in the derby's...

someone mentioned Jetta from swan districts, i thought he was already on one of the WA team lists...

I would be dumb founded if Brian Lake was not at the Dogs next year and beyond, but if by some miracle he was available and being talked about as a PSD target then yes please.

However, too hard a trade with our list needs at present to see us parting with a first rounder if it was a trade deal.

One in particular as a PSD or very late draft target is Mark Coughlin from the Tigers. Would suit our game style well.

The thing is Nico good players rarely are up for trade. If you want to add to the list with trades its going to have to be players that clubs do not want or need.
And just because players appear to be "no good" or on the outer at one club does not mean they wont be any good at another. Look at Ryce Shaw for example.

                  Get with it man.

I've always been a big fan of his and agree he'd suit our type of play - he's had a bad run of injuries but hopefully he'd come good. Maybe the Tigers would take a former premiership player with good experience, such as A. Buchanan or L. Ablett, in return? Both those guys still have a bit to offer and a change of scenery might do them the world of good???

I'll also take trent Cotchin off their hands just in case the Tigers are worried about his injuries

I see Andrejs Everitt has again been dropped from the Bullies this week.

It's still unclear on the issue on whether we still have trade week bargaining power with Hall (unclear to me anyway), but if some sort of deal could be worked out at getting Spida's baby brother to Sydney in exchange for BBBBH, That would suit me just fine.

Andrejs would offer us less than Spider would today. Forget it

Nah, Everitt is not the player we need to tell you the truth. We should go for Lake, a key forward (maybe Williams from Hawthorn), and we should draft a half forward/midfielder type player (Calvin Moores brother, apparently very similar to O'Keefe, and we could use a hard, fast, running player who can kick goals).

What makes you say that? He's only young, nice and athletic, and is struggling to break into a very solid Doggies defense. I think we'd do well to have an extra option developing down back.

He's not a key defender - he's a tallish running halfback flanker with so-so foot skills. Pass
