maguire wouldn't cost much. 3rd rounder + Buchannan is what I'd do. Gamble would prob cost 2nd rounder, and he would def allow some room for Johnston to move. I'd also go for Jetta from Essendon. Hasn't had a good year, but with the right team he could become very good.

Maguire, Fevola, Pavlich are the type of players that might fill the bill. I think we need to draft as well as possible and take a chance with someone high profile as the "new" team develops.

Would not even consider McGuire. For mine has always been overrated and plays an error riddled style of football. Dead set as loose as granny's teeth.

Maguire would be handy, as Playfair must get lonely in rehab now that Schmidts out.

                    Des

Des Headland may be a suitable replacement for Barrice, as he likes to "assert his authority", and is unstable at times?

After watching Jesse White for the last two weeks, the club should ensure he stays!

There aren't really any forwards that are uncontracted, other than Bradshaw. Probably better to blood some youngsters up forward anyway

Still think we should definately go after Tim Boyle from the hawks & matt Maguire, 2 big targets one down back and one up forward both you would think for second rounder, possibly less!

Just to add fuel to this fire, around 4-6 weeks ago, Luke Hodge was on channel 7's AFL gameday show on Sunday morning and was asked if Alistair Clarkson wasn't his coach or if he could play under any other coach or who does he think is the best coach in the competition?(one of those 3 questions) His answer was Paul roos. So having said that, I don't think it is that inconceivable that we might be able to snare him.
