M O'Dwyer was really good. Should be selected. Leo Barry looked extremely switched on for his second game this year. Only played a half. Started at full back and then went to forward line. Kicked 3 goals 3 in under a half. Buchanan good as well.Comment

I'd expect Buchanan, Schmidt and Moore to be pushing for places.Comment

School has to be first priority for Hannebury but wouldn't mind him getting another game next week to give him a chance to put into practice what he learned this weekend. And against Melbourne at Manuka he'll probably find a bit more time and space than he did against the Blues. Then he can go back to school footy and prepare for a big pre-season.
From what I've seen of Murphy (not this week) he still looks a bit short of a gallop. Would be good if he debuts when he's fit enough to do so. No doubt when his turn does come they'll decide early in the week, to ensure his family has a chance of getting over for the game.Comment

Wouldn't think it would be this week against Melbourne, given they have a smallish forward line so the loss of Teddy wouldn't be so great. In any case, it seems like he was played forward again today.
And btw liz, I hate to be Mr Picky, but before this blows out to Tadhg proportions, I believe the proper spelling is Hannebery.Comment

Will the panel rush Leo back in after Richards' injury? Or is Pyke a certain started and stick with LRT and Bolton in the backline?10100111001 ;-)Comment

From what I've read and heard, the plan is for Leo's return is for him to play in the forward line. He would only have played a pre-determined amount of minutes on the field today, and I would imagine would need at least another 2 games to get match fit. The only problem is the reserves have a bye next week.Comment

Both the AFL Canberra website and the Swans website state the bye for the whole of the comp is for next week, with the next round of games starting on Aug 1.Comment

This was on bigfooty
Thought I'd just write you an email instead lol!
It was such a good game! I'll try and recall everything I can...
Murphy kicked 3 goals in the first quarter, it was awesome!
They had too many listed players, so one of them always had to stay on the bench, which made my job quite busy today!!
Dan O'Keefe may have injured himself again. I think he hurt his ankle just before half time and didn't play again for the rest of the game. He was walking around though so he should be right!
Leo played abut 70 mins, he was so good in the forward line!
Umm what else can I tell you...
Nathan Gordon was awesome as well..
Laidlaw kicked 4.1 and he played well and almost got into a fight lol
buchanan had 37 possessions, moore had 36, braba had 32, schmidt had 33 and crouch had 28...
other than that they just played awesome!!
With a midfield of Buchanan,Moore,Brabazon,Scmidtt & Crouch no wonder we smashed them with those possesion numbers. MOD & Thornton in best
Interesting who will play next week given we need to play youth according to our latest reports.cheersComment
