I think it's a fair call to dismiss the rants (or should I say "professional advice" ) of supporters when it come to coaching choices and player form (cyber bullying) but the clubs need to take note of the forums when issues are directly affecting the fans ( e.g. the Membership stuff ups of this year)
Bugger them. Play well and they won't get bagged out. It's not rocket science.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun. Blessedare the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
I think fans have been critical of teams and players since the invention of sports - this is nothing new. The only difference is that the potential for widespread publishing is far greater now.
177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out.... Des' Weblog
Supporters are entitled to have a rant. Sometimes it is for certain players and sometimes it is against certain players. Sometimes they are right and sometimes they are wrong. But there is nothing to suggest that players, officials and coaches get it right all the time either. There are plenty of players selected who fail to make it, or who play on too long, or who don't play well when selected, and coaches who make the wrong recruitment, selection or game day decisions.
All I can say is next time a player like Cuz come on the market I am going to use the biggest viral marketing, cyber space of an information age campaign to get him to the Swans and then we'll see what happens.
Yeah.
Kinda wondering about the context in which it was used.
Don't know that various people here having a sook about team selections is 'cyber bullying'.
I'd hate to think that the AFL was mortally wounded every time I have a sook about the free to air Swans coverage.
Perhaps I should send them a 'sorry' email in case I hurt their feelings
The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.
Yeah.

I was never top of the class in english at school, always looking out the window.
While most comments made on this forum are fair I find there can be a habbit of attacking individual players a little harshly which (to me) is an example of bullying.
I know some will not agree with this but that's just the way I see it.

I don't thing there is anything on RWO that could be constituted as "Cyber Bullying"
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC
Bullying is usually defined as something that is done directly to people, but the players are not here, so it's not really bullying. For some people here it perhaps feels like bullying because they take any criticism personally.
