I read on Facebook that the other teams supposedly rested players so our main threat could win. Any truth in this or is it just sour grapes?

Happy Laidlaw excellent last night. Gee is he strong mark and sure hands. 8 goals not too sneezy.Comment

Hard to prove but by all accounts the results from yesterday between the other teams were an anomily and both losers should have recorded big wins based on ladder position and form. Had the results gone according to form and ladder positions the Swans Reserves would have finished in 4th with their win yesterday.Comment

A quick comparison at the Eastlake team and the one that beat us last week shows little difference. That was the result we needed to go our way, the Belconnen-Ainslie result was always going to be the long shot. Also, a few weeks ago Tuggeranong came within a goal of Queanbeyan, that result would have been handy. The insinuation from Facebook seems to be that Queanbeyan 'directed' the game's result, I'm not sure how that's even possible, so possibly a touch of sour grapes.
Hopefully next season we'll have a bigger pool of players to choose from (no Kennelly, Fosdike, Playfair and Heath all season, plus no NSW/ACT rookies)Comment

many injuries to reserves players as well as many of them promoted for some senior games didn't help for the reserves ... malceski, ladilaw and thornton were the only guys out there yesterday (that i could find) with senior experience which makes it tough for the reserves!!!Comment

Hope its not too bad an injury and heals properly in readiness for pre-season training. Laidlaw very good, Thornton lively, DOK good, Orreal improves every week, Braba disappointing, Botts sound, Nipper was missing something, toppies played hard - done good. Many thanks for previous, lengthy and concise reports. Ugg take a bow, thx for your enthusiasm.Comment

For the love of god, give Laidlaw a game. The 2nd one in 4 years at the club; wouldn't be asking too much, surely?
He obviously knows where the sticks are, so maybe stick him somewhere up forward. Particularly seeing there's a guy who's played a bit of HFF/FP in recent weeks, who seems to be struggling with a bit of a niggle (as well as, ahem, struggling generally).
PS Why an 18-round season that, even with a cuppla weeks off during the year, finishes embarrassingly early? In a 6 team comp, wouldn't playing all opponents 4 times for a 20-round season, be the obvious thing? Don't they like playing footy in Canberra, so they want to play as little of it as possible?Comment

It was actually very dangerous!! Vespa was down on his knees from recollection and this thug was standing over him laying into his head! Not one umpire did a thing. Doesnt not surprise me that the kid went off his nut, and they had to drag him to settle him down! If that happened on the street the Tuggers boofhead would be in the klink!
