I definitely didn't see them and i was at the game - i'm pretty sure i would have noticed if they were up so i'm assuming they were down ...

You're probably right, I was sitting around the 50m line of the pocket that Moore kicked the ball from- on my angle it was tough to tell the distance he was. I did feel that the kick transfered play to roughly the same distance out from goals from where it was kicked, and Moore was running that direction when he kicked it. I think he jogged it in and got to around a few metres from the square when Corey scored, sprinting he obviously might have got a bit closer.

That said, it wasn't really that I thought he could have gotten to Corey, he was never going to have him for leg speed, it was just that he gave up on the play after making the mistake.

LRT marked on the same side of the ground as moore when he passed to moore - a fair bit of the criticism can be directed to LRT (if anyone) for not passing it at least 15 - there isn't any doubt moore's pass was quite a long distance comparared to the kick by LRT. Having said that i think it was one of those passes which probably is 15 but because its in the defensive part of the ground they call it not 15 and play on. But the play on put moore under a fair bit of pressure.

He would have had no chance whatsoever to get to the goal square. Corey would have been 25-30 metres from him when he passed it.

To be fair he had nowhere to go. If he kicked towards the wing it would have been pick up by Geelong. If he tried to but it to the boundary it would have been a great kick to get it over ROK's head but not OOBOTF.

It was one of those moments where everyone was covered and he had someone baring down on him. He went with the only option.

Thought it was his best game...I even gave him votes in the TLM. If he had an extra yard of pace - what a player he'd be.

Probably true, but a little hard to pick up on the tv.

That's just GAblett Jr. I've seen Jack absolutely destroy people with his tackling, but the number of times SOG stood in the tackle and Jack fell off him...he's amazing. I think he's made of lead.

True, but Garry,(DOJ) wouldn't be too proud of that.

Drove me nuts. The only thing I could think of is that they're not used to kicking to him on a lead - ie unsure of his speed and ability. Hopefully picks up in the off season.

I saw one instance where Goodes should have split a pack, but he pulled out. Anyone think he's going to bulk up in the off season? He's done it before - interesting to see which way they go with him.

I think there was a bit of a "Grundy effect" involved. A large reason why LRT didn't kick long enough was because he took ages to make up his mind and had been called to play on before he finally had to do something. He was probably in shock from having taken such a screamer.

The commentators (Darcy and Huddo) did call LRT out for the sub-15 pass and rightly said he should wear some of the blame. Moore didn't have too many options. A pity, they both played well otherwise.

Seeing 'Grundy' reminds of thinking on Saturday night how composed he looks when he has the ball. Shame his kicking is at times a little wayward, but he's looking very solid in the backline now.

Funny you should mention that. I am up at the northern end (Swans cheer squad end) and in the first quarter I made mention I thought the nets were still up down the Geelong end the way a ball from goal acted. And then thought nah, they always take them down, they aren't up at this end.

Possibly an optical illusion. That's all I can give you.

All I am going to say is I am proud of the boys, we can still make the finals and would love to see it, but dont think it is going to happen.

Its amazing how many times Geelong throw the ball and get away with it, must have seen at least 6-7 incidences of this in the firt half alone.

As far as cheese is concerned, I've said this before and I will say it again, if anyone here knows anyone at the club, can they please tell them this. Whenever Barlow takes a mark, he will jog, not run, but jog back 15-20 metres without IMMEDIATELY looking for an option up forward, wasting a good 5-10 seconds. I find this especially irritating especially when he has taken a mark on the half forward flank and is around 75 to 80 metres out from goal. He does this time and time again. Can someone PLEASE instruct him to turn around immediately after taking a mark. God it annoys me.

I am constantly instructing him Johnno, but he just ignores me.
