Pathetic umpiring has again cost us. What do u do though. Thats two games in which the game has been stolen from us against the two best teams.

Close game, could be a chance against Collingwood.

Leaves the door open for West Coast.

Apparently Roosy gave a filthy look to the umpies. I'm happy with how the team played. Young guys stepped up. Kirk prob should have gone to Ablett but what u gonna do. Well done to Swannies, in my eyes to nearly beat Geelong and St Kilda we are probably the most deserving of a top 8 spot. We r a chance against Collingwood, and if results go our way, finals is alive but it doesn't matter anymore. Just about playing some youngsters. Laidlaw maybe a game.

So near and yet so far. The biggest positive for me was that in the 3rd qtr and again in the 4th the Cats started to pull away and got it out to about 3-4 goals and yet both times we clawed our way back and even hit the lead.

The younger players stood up again as they did against the Saints as well, and where it was looking a little dicey earlier in the year, the promise for what lay in seasons ahead is a lot brighter than just a few weeks ago.

                I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

A lot of positives to take out of the game. White, O'Dwyer and Smith alll looked pretty good.

We will miss Micky next year though.

Bevan played well. Should be back in the team.

Only negative was Cheese. Most of the time he just doesn't seem to have a clue. Stays off the ball, Stays off the man. For a big guy, he can't make a tackle. Still needs a lot of work to be a senior player.

I'm glad for him that he's retiring where we're saying he should play on rather than he played on too long. Skills still as silky as ever.

That was a game effort. Great game of footy. Why did we lose:

We got belted out of the centre all night and they got 2 goals in the last Q directly from centre clearances. I believe it cost us the game big time. Forget about the umps, fix this problem now. If we get this half right we are back as a force. Even Melbourne beat us in the department.

Not Barlow's fault he is not a backman's boot lace. He is an outside footballer and it proved it tonight. His man loses him too easily probably because he ball watches. No match for Mackie who played iszarzoff for the last 3 quarters.

Corey - Loose all night. I know you can't cover all the stars but strewth he was on his own all night.

Goodes - As good as he is he slaughtered passes from the 50 metre line. Why he went to an MOl lead when less than a goal down, when there were 2 players in the hole is perplexing. We have a big unit in the square but they chose to ignore him in the last half. Go figure.

Thought O'Dwyer did ok on the big stage.

Goodes is clearly the answer at CHF. When he got moved in the 3rd Q they kicked 2 quick goals from rebounds because had no structure. for 5 minutes. His presence up there puts huge pressure on the backs.

Hope that is Leo's last game. Didn't do much and got in the way. The backline is far better without him and Richards.

Even though Ablett had 44 stats I thought Jack did some handy work and has great fitness. I would really like to see him play purely as a midfielder next year.

Smith keeps on improving and even Bevo was serviceable.

Probably our only passenger was Barlow. Ablett injured early. Pyke was good at the stoppages late.

I thought Jolly was outstanding. He had to resort to getting centre clearances when the smalls couldn't.

That pretty well sums Barlow up.

Bloody Hell!....thats 2 games against 2 benchmark sides in the last few weeks that have buggered my nerves and left me with that awful (cranky/sad/frustrated/proud) combination!

Don't know what to do now....

                              God i love our team.

Would have been nice to put a player on J Corey.

There are 8 sides who will breath a little easier tonight. it would have been nice to prove all the experts wrong, again....
