None of the digital channels are available nationally. The ability to screen exclusive sports content (like AFL) on them that doesn't violate anti-siphoning laws requires the channel to be available nationally for free. There are some kinks still there. Regardless of what can be seen in Sydney this is the case.He ate more cheese, than time allowedComment

Make sure you check Main Event 518 - Almost always shows live games when you can't get them live on the other stations."It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.

Fox518 shows games that Channel 7 and 10 buy the rights to but elect not to show into Sydney and Brisbane, usually because they want to show the local team in action. Fox allows 7 & 10 to take their feed live to air and in return broadcasts the unwanted game from 7 and 10. This also occurs if the FTA channels want to delay the start until the middle of the night, as is happening with the Richmond v Hawthorn game on Saturday night.10100111001 ;-)Comment

Please see below the latest correspondence between myself and the club on this issue.
PLEASE EMAIL THE SWANS and express your concerns. If we don't complain directly then nothing is going to change.
It's the power of the red and white people.
Dear Stephanie,
Thanks for your email, I have forwarded your feedback to our Media Manager and am waiting on her response.
Once she provides me with some further information on TV scheduling I will get back to you.
In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact us should you require any further assistance.
Kind regards,
Swans Membership

Thanks for the email.
How can it be live when the game starts at 2pm in Melbourne?
I am really concerned that the club is not doing enough with the AFL and it's broadcast partners to communicate that this is just not good enough.
If the AFL and the Swans are committed to growing AFL in NSW, how does not broadcasting a blockbuster game against Collingwood live into Sydney achieve those aims.
This is of great concern to the broader membership base and supporters of AFL in NSW.
It's just good enough and I want to ensure that the club are taking action.
Regards,
StephanieComment

Can't really blame C7, the ratings speak for themselves. The problem lies with the AFL scheduling in putting this game up against the V8s.Comment

Yes, but Channel 7 should really have their act together regarding their HD channels. To have 5 channels all broadcasting the exact same content is inexcusable.Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!Comment

C7 are unprofessional and have as much idea about AFL as our undear departed (thank god) marketing bloke. If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

Federal Government legislation does not allow broadcast on the extra channels yet, without concurrent live broadcast on the main channel.
The laws haven't caught up with the technology. Review taking place as we speak... in time for next Millenium."As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did.
