No, I dont work for the public service. The temptation was that I had a free ticket and was thinking should I? Micky O, Leo and Crouch last game in melb, but then I thought back to that disaster game at telstra dome last year against coll, where I left at half time and said to myself that I will never go see a swans-coll game again!

Just a question, why on earth would you watch a replay of the game

Watching One Tool too Many on OneHD, they miked up Crouchy's words to Mark Knopfler.
He might be a serial pest but he's OUR serial pest and I am going to miss him.

I've never really liked Crouchy before, but that made me like him just a little.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

            Negatives

Barlow - so soft and has no skill
            Hanneberry - very, very slow
Pyke - Is utter rubbish, no idea how he gets a game.
            Moore's injury
Leo - time is up for this legend, sad but glad he is retiring
Bevan - tried hard but is still a hack

            2. I like Pyke.

Not sure what year they had Amon listed as, but he was drafted twice and the first time was 2000 I'm fairly sure.

Just another topic that has been discussed between my fellow swans friends and myself in the last 24 hours.
At the end of the game at the mcg on Sunday alot of melbourne based fans thought it was wrong of the 3 retiring players not to thank the crowd since it was there final game in melbourne.
Due to work commitments i actually thought i would miss the upcoming match against Brisbane. As a member of the cheersquad in melb and a mad Crouch fan i asked permission to make a farewell banner for crouch and hold it up just to thank him for his kindness to me over the 12 years.

At the conclusion of the game i held it up with pride praying Crouch would turn around and see it. Most of the boys grouped and headed towards the rooms.
Crouch turned around and headed towards the cheersquad. Got to about the square and raised his arms and clapped.

I was happy with that as a supporter but alot of my fellow friends are very annoyed!

What are ppls thoughts esp ppl who attended the game. We are two cities with 1 team and the melb fans wanted to say goodbye.

Secondly, O'Loughlin is not playing as our "second" forward this year. At the moment Goodes is our first, White our second, Magic our third. Thirdly, he's also averaging almost 2 assists per game.

Magic is a long way from top form, but he has been far from useless. Seriously, some of the crap you spout...
You're the one that said MOL is playing the "second" defender - but somehow is not the second forward? Please, get a position and stick to it and you might earn some respect.

Most decent teams historically have a second forward who averages over 2 goals a game. One thing is for sure - to be averaging 1 is pitiful. They've even had to bring in Goodesy to save his ass and give him a few freebie possessions.

Mate, you built the crap factory and make daily deliveries to this site, so I suppose at least you have some expertise in that field.

I got to a little way into the 3rd quarter and was wondering the same thing.

We waited for a while after the end, didn't see Crouchy go to the middle but hoped the three retirees might do a jog around the boundary. We were disappointed, but thought maybe they're saving it for GF day. Fair enough if so, but it would've been nice to take the opportunity while it was there.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Jenky: they had lost the game, and it would probably have been seen to be an inappropriate sport thing for the 3 of them to jog the ground with the collydogs celebrating their win at the same time. And I have never seen a rival club retiree do it at the SCG either. Wouldn't be the done thing.

Glad Crouchy added his distinctive touch though. He travels his own road. Again.

White doesn't have a name for himself, and at the moment is probably equal in ability to Magic. He is producing more as he is generally getting a lower quality defender than Magic. Magic, given his reputation and dangerous ability, is getting a better defender, and as a result producing less. So Magic is our third forward in terms of output, but attracts the second defender because of reputation, and perhaps game-breaking ability (which he has showcased a couple of times this year).

Magic is averaging 1.3 goals a game, 1.9 assists, and 12 possessions a game. Obviously, this is well down on his normal output. But consider the defender he is taking, the respect the opposition pay him, his freakish creativity, and the fact that at the moment, we are a bottom 8 team, and you'll see why he is in the team. Imagine if it were a young guy producing that. Hell, Jesse White isn't producing all that more. Would you have him out of the team? Hell no! And you seem like a pretty old-school bloke, so I'd assume (let me know if this assumption is wrong) you'd want all players to earn their place, regardless of age and finals aspirations (I know I would). Well, Magic is in our best 22. In our bottom 6 at the moment, yes, but he's still there.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!
