Sorry, but if a club is seriously interested in by far the best player another club has, especially a club situated on the opposite side of the continent, surely you'd start pursuing it seriously more than half an hour before trade deadline. Wouldn't you?

Yep - but some clubs behave very strangely during trade week! In defence of the Blues, their hands were tied until the Fev deal could be bedded down, so they haven't had much wriggle room to pursue much else (and I imagine they were expecting to swap for a forward from somewhere - ANYWHERE - which didn't ultimately happen). Now they are in panic mode - not entirely of their own making.

Freo aren't sure what running a football club is all about, so they would have only known it was trade week because someone came asking about some guy named Drum on their list (who they actually thought was their former coach.)

And then we have the Hawks - who can't get their you know what together enough to know a good trade when it smacks em in the chops. They needed all week AND finally mediators to knock some sense into them!

As 55 only appeared this morning it probably means we'll use it, so at least a couple of delistings now likely if we are PSD?@ng as well and I'd reckon we would be given what should be in there.

What do we get with picks 54 and 55 in a weak draft. Isn't one of those picks still to be swapped from an earlier deal?
