Someone on the Geelong BF board reckons deal done ->
2nd Rd pick / 4yrs for $1m -> but not lodged yet (sounds valid if it was indeed tied in some way to the Jolly deal being accepted by Sydney)The Swans Fan Zone on

As long as we hang onto those first two picks I'm happy. And it seems like the Swans think this is our year to have some early draft choices so I hope it works out well - and next year our first choice is No16.Comment

Didn't catch the details but I heard on the news that Roos said the paperwork only had to be lodged. Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.Comment

Someone on Bigfooty said Mumford is no longer listed on the playing list on the Geelong website (i checked yesterday and it was there). http://www.geelongcats.com.au/player...9/default.aspx
Confirmation of the deal must be imminent.
Pick 28 is my guess which doesn't leave us much room for Kennedy.
Unless Roos is willing to sacrifice 14 for Mcglynn and Kennedy

It's way too early to tell whether it's a weak draft or not. Sure there are predictions that it's weak but you can't know for sure until some of the kids actually start playing.Comment

My mate at the Cattery just called...reckon we've got a good 'un. His summary was that Mumford is extremely mobile, can float back or forward, and is known for his 2nd and 3rd efforts - non-stop tackler at the ruck. They worked on his fitness last year - he was 130kg and dropped to 105kg (he was eating up to 16 sausages at lunch - he's a big country boy). Bomber didn't originally rate him but he was over-ruled by the match committee - and he came in and played 8 straight. He's now rated above Blake but salary cap means they have no choice but to let him go...but they're not happy...Regards,

Yeah Mumford was a huge guy.
Apparently Swans are the fourth club in an Essendon-Hawthorn-Port deal which will see 28 go to Hawthorn for McGlynn and Kennedy.
Im guessing that the Mummy will come for prob something like Pick 38 + maybe a fourth rounder?.Comment
