He's 29, he will cost us pick 6 and one of our best young players at a minimum, and even with him in our lineup we still wouldn't be a top 4 team.

If everything goes well, we are still a couple of seasons away from being a genuine contender by which time Fev's output will be declining

This time of year is interesting. I have just heard a rumour that Jolly really does want back to Melbourne explaining why we are going so hard on Seaby.

Hope this isn't true or it will set us back a few more years. I doubt he will go given he's got another 3 years on his contract and I doubt that the Hawks would have the salary cap room for him (and Burgoyne and Gibson!).

Of all the rumours and whispers I have heard on this forum there is none I dislike more then Jolly leaving Sydney. I couldn't bear to see his pulled up socks sporting any other colours.

Not wanting to support such baseless and IMO silly rumours/ideas, but the fact that a player has a signed contract does not preclude him from being traded.
