I'm with you there to a degree - I think the Brownlow stuff has been a bit over the top. Yes he made an idiot of himself but he didn't hurt anyone - just embarrassed himself really. Can't believe it was front page news all week (well I can actually, it sells papers to idiots).

I'd be happy to get him if I thought he was the right fit for us. Just don't think he is, with a developing forward line and Goodes' moving to CHF. And then there's what we'd have to give up in terms of a trade and his salary. At 29, no thanks.

firstly, I am convinced Carlton will NOT be letting him go.....but, if they were to let him go, I'm still not sure about him, we know he can be a tool, but boy can he play the game, and play it well. Also, it seems he looks after himself pretty well, physically speaking, if his build is anything to by, so I'm not sure about only getting 2-3 years out of him, possibly 4-5 years is possible, remeber that Hall is 32 now and there are a few here saying that he has 2 years left in him.

No. No. No. Don't want him here.

Carlton are hanging him out to dry for as long as they can before they fluff and fold him back into the Blues. they want him to know just how close he is to being drop kicked out of the club. But they won't let him go. He hasn't belted anyone. His problem is being an embarrassing boore, not a judiciary visitor.

For him I think the penny dropped this time. He did say he was confronted with having to explain to a 3 year old daughter why he was acting like a 3 year old.

          I repeat

          unless you believe this:

Included in Fevola's disgraceful behaviour on Brownlow night was sexual harassment of a young woman, a profanity-riddled spray on Judd, the smashing of a wine glass and an ugly animated attack on a highly regarded senior player from another club.

However someone raised a rumour last week of Moore to the Kangas which may turn out to make some sense, and may result in another 3rd round pick.

I wonder how Roos saying "it's obvious who we're talking to" will be interpreted. Probably a hundred ways considering we get linked to every player on the market! But I wonder if there's any truth to the Luke Ball speculation, as I briefly raised earlier. Maybe a return sweetheart deal with Ross Lyon to help the Saints out with their own salary cap pressure. I think 2 of Maguire, Ball and Milne will leave the Saints - however Ball would certainly cost more than a 3rd round pick.
I wouldn't mind picking up Maguire if the saints don't demand anything more than a 3rd rounder for him.

Sounds pretty specific to me. Would not have passed legal if they thought there was any chance of those allegations being disproved. Even the Herald-Sun doesn't expose itself that readily to libel action. Except Andrew Bolt maybe.

Not in the same league as Fev (for his behaviour) or Seaby (for his Bible-bashing naivety). Just an amiable bogan really. If you excluded them from the club you wouldn't assemble a list of 42.

he may indeed be just "an amiable bogan" - but he still resembles the Rhesus Macaque (Macaca mulatta)...

I'm in two minds big time over Fevola. He is a total dill and we probably don't want someone like him at the club, but on the other hand we have a reasonably successful run with players like him. Undoubted is his quality on the field- he may be 29, but we could expect at very least 4 years of good footy out of him (His fitness is pretty good for a big key forward), and he would give us a 50+ goalkicker within the team.

If I was Roos and Longmire, I'd be very tempted to take a punt on him, as while there is baggage involved of course, he is at the end of the day a quality footballer, and probably young enough that he could be part of a push towards a real challenge for the flag somewhere around 2012-13. Getting him for a reasonable deal is of course the big question, but to me I think (Only just) that quality player > dickhead in this case. We have a history of doing well with big profile key forwards, and none of them have ever come without some amount of baggage attached!
