while some seem to be dissapoited if ther fev deal happens.
Would you still have that same disappointment if he lining up to kick his 100 for the year.

Lack of goal kicking has plagued our results for a few years now.
Since Nicky D went we havn't had that player that can kick accurately over 50.
Fev can do that and some. All we can hope if the deal is done that our renowned culture will keep him inline.
And from reports all we are doing is giving up pick 14 that we get off pies for Jolly.
And by all acounts the depth of this yeras draft is very thin. Even some touted as 1st rnd picks aren't by all accounts very strong.

Be interesting who we pick for our pick 6 if we gte Fev. We would have to pick the best attacking outside run midfielder.. Jetta if he is still avail; would be ideal

I really think getting Fev is the wrong move. We have a young quick tall full forward with great hands and a pretty good kick. In the time that it takes for our premiership window to reopen, the gap in output between White and Fevola will close considerably. I think using pick 14 for a young mid will take us closer to our next flag than if we trade it for Fev.

Furthermore, he is not the type of person I want representing my club.

It's also galling that Roos has played the media like a cheap violin, going into trade week a) knowing Jolly wanted out and b) that we would be able and willing to trade for Fevola, yet giving totally contradictary and misleading statements in the lead up.

and this surprises you? Roos has always played the media to suit himself that is nothing new. with respect, you fell for the spin!

Look we can argue and speculate for and against all we want (and I've got work to do!) - until the announcement is made none of us will know what is going on - Some will embrace Fev coming if he does, some will not, Some will sigh with relief if he doesnt and others will see it as a missed opportunity. Lets just wait and see.

I've never like his media persona and it was clear he was leaving wriggle room. But he should treat the supporters and members with respect by at least being honest. The "we're not going to waste anyone's time with Fev" line was a blatant lie.

Fevwit runs hot and cold. One good game, one bad game, one good game, two bad games. I'd prefer to have someone who is lukewarm now, but will be boiling hot in a years' time.
I'm praying that Jetta falls into the number 6 possie - then he's all ours.

i dont think it was a blantant lie, he was basically saying that the club is not giving up pick 6 and at that stage nothing really had come to light with Jolly.

Most would consider Carlton would want a 1st rnd pick. but with the Jolly deal well it opens up an avenue.

Whilst i agree in part..it has been a while since we had someone who can kick a ton.
In all honestly aside from the brownlow fiasco to get a multiple colman medalist and AA FF for pick 14..it is a bargain. Have faith brothers and sisters that Culture, that bloods culture will see fev turn the tide...ok enough of my rant.
Gotta pick Jetta if he avail at 6, he will step straight into senior side, has played against seniors at WAFL level and 20 years old, perfect for us.
Has some flair which is great.

Ur talking as if this Fev trade is bad? C'mon, if we gain pick 14 +Dawes (..... or whatever), and use pck 14 to secure Fev we have a bargain. Essentially we will be trading Jolly for Fev and a quality youngster. Then we can make a move for Mumford (could become the next Jolly for us?) then bag one of mcglynn or kennedy, plus we have pick 6 and prob second rounder. Plus we already have Seaby. Thats good for us.

Plus this draft does not have alot of depth, sooooo basically pick 14 is probably pick 20 of last years draft.

Anyway look im not a big fan of fev. In fact at Carlton I hated his guts, and I still stand my opinion that he is a **** but to keep this club afloat we need someone like him. To bring the fans and the results. Plus we have a young list anyway so a 29yr old is not going to harm it. We need him to ease the pressure of White, and Johnston. Fev and White could become our new MOL, Hall combination

Ur right. If you read the interview with Roos (cant remember which one) he is very very careful with his words. Doesn't say no no no, he says we have not looked into it at this stage, cant offer pick 6, will see what happens.

It was on the 10am news that an announcement is about to be made (so Ricky Ollerenshaw said) and for that to be news in sydney it may have some substance.

Agree, the club simply HAS to make a play for him, he would bring thousands through the gate and possible increase in membership if marketed correctly, which all points to major $$$ for the club, which is what its all about unfortuneatly. As good as these youngsters like jesse white might be, they are not going to do this! I also think he would make a good combo with white, johnston etc. GET HIM SWANS!
