If Scott gets paid by the post, Fev coming to Sydney could make his fortune!

When it looked like it was close, I realised I want it to happen. But only for pick 14. We could turn Fev around and he's a bigger catch than Baz when we got him. If we turn him around he could be great for us - and we only have to control him, not teach him to kick. But only if we do it for pick 14 (and a minor player if necessary). Talk of swapping White for Fev is insane - unless we really know Jesse will head to the Gold Coast asap - one is our future, one may help us snag quite a lot of finals success over the next few years. Fev in red and white playing the overlooked genius would be a lot more palatable than watching Baz sook then fire up.Comment

Jeff Kennett has just told Mark Doran on SEN that Campbell Brown will not be going anywhere. Kennett also saying the Hawks never offered him up....which means there is some hope that the Hawks could still indirectly/directly affect the outcome of any trade Jolly is involved in *crosses fingers*The Swans Fan Zone on

The Power are kidding themselves if they think Burgoyne is worth pick 9 and one of the Hawks best dozen or so players, or even one of their best up and coming prospects. Burgoyne's best is undoubtedly brilliant but the reason why he's nowhere close to the calibre of a Judd or an Ablett is that he produces close to his best pretty infrequently. He's also coming off an injury restricted season.
He's a year younger than Jolly but good rucks have a scarcity that very good (as opposed to elite) mids don't have. I would have thought that the trade value of Jolly and Burgoyne would be (or should be) pretty similar - especially as one is contracted and the other isn't. Therefore the player to be packaged with pick 9 should surely be equivalent to a "just outside or just inside" best 22 Hawks player - ala Kennedy or McGlynn. And if we were to trade with Hawthorn for Jolly and Kennedy was thrown in, I don't think we'd consider it reasonable to send a later (mid 3rd round) pick back the other direction.Comment

Nothing to do with White and Fev being mates, but if you don't think it'll hinder his development you need your head checked. I am sure you're one of the few that think getting some bellend at the club for 4 years (at best) at the expense of a quality kid, while we're not even close to a flag, is the best thing for Sydney.Comment

I don't think Sydney can - or will - make any offer for Fevola until they know whether they will get the necessary pick off Collingwood for Jolly. That seems no closer to fruition, and it doesn't sound like Sydney will entertain the Fevola idea seriously unless they get that pick.Comment

It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play violin. That's what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver.
