Nothing to do with White and Fev being mates, but if you don't think it'll hinder his development you need your head checked. I am sure you're one of the few that think getting some bellend at the club for 4 years (at best) at the expense of a quality kid, while we're not even close to a flag, is the best thing for Sydney.
Having Fevola would give White a better match up, which would help his development even though he is getting less ball kicked to him.
You still need more than 1 tall target inside 50 and White would be the no.2 man for a few years until fev retires at which point he would be 25 and ready to take on the position.
Im not saying that this is what will happen but there is a legitimate argument that Fev would help White and its not gimme that he would hinder him.Comment

Can someone with more time please ring the club to find out if we or Brisbane have pick 39 (from west Coast).
Draft tracker says pick 39 to sydney (but it also says pick 47 to Brisbane!!!!! so how could you rely on that?).
Logic says pick 39 to Sydney, but you never know.
Swans site implies pick 39 went with Staker to Brisbane.
Someone, anyone?
BTW WTF is it with the Swans nearly always getting screwed? 2 years ago Collingwood pay pick 14 for Wood (FFS), and this year they go from "we'll have Jolly for 14" to "we want to keep our first round draft pick"
We'll lose Jolly for pick 30 and Chris Bryan probably."I'll acknowledge there are more talented teams in the competition but I won't acknowledge that there is a better team in the competition" Paul Roos March 2005Comment

I dont think its a gimme that having Fevola would hinder white's development. Yes White was given more responsibility once Barry left and he did very well but making him your no.1 man as a 21 year old taking the best defender week in week out and sometimes being double teamed could have a negative effect.

There's also an argument that the midfield kicking to a forward as talented as Fev might just lift their development, too. Think of White and Fev, Vez and Goodes all around our forward 50. That'd be exciting.Comment

Jeff Kennett has just told Mark Doran on SEN that Campbell Brown will not be going anywhere. Kennett also saying the Hawks never offered him up....which means there is some hope that the Hawks could still indirectly/directly affect the outcome of any trade Jolly is involved in *crosses fingers*Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

So many seem more concerned about this No dickheads thing - lets look at the the old adage "takes one to know one" same really applies to dickheads too. So perhaps the Swans aren't as "dickheadless" as they like to make out.I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Thus Brisbane and Sydney swapped a draft pick after the event.
So we have 39, and Brisbane have 47.Comment

Thank you for saving me a whole bunch of typing. Well said.

I think I just answered my own question....it looks like we DO get pick 39 but we have passed on 47 to Brisbane. (which we got from ther Bulldogs for Barry). As I just mentioned in the other thread about the Fevwit .... Roosey has come out and restated that Sydney are NOT INTERESTED.
Swans restate lack of interest in Fevwit

Swans restate lack of interest in Fevola WED PM
Love the mind games.....
Swans restate lack of interest in Fevola - AFL.com.au
"Roos laughed when asked early on Wednesday afternoon if there was any truth to the rumour"
?We?re not even interested in Fevola. I keep saying it but no one believes me. We?ve got nothing to trade for him so we haven?t been involved at all,? he said.
