Take THAT potatoboy, welcome to Sydney!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

        Really???

How about somewhere closer to home where you wouldn't have to do as much work to turn them into something of a half decent AUSSIE RULES player?

        Somewhere like Central Australia perhaps??

Micky - pack your bags and go looking.
Couldn't agree more, our Irish stike rate is starting to look pretty ordinary, considering the amount of time and money involved in settling and developing the Irish boys. Mick to the desert...Good idea Annie, he's definitely the man for that gig.

I don't think our track record is worse then any other club that has tried Irish recruits: see the attached table. The whole thing is hit-and-miss recruiting.

Let's hope this new Irish recruit is committed to playing Aussie Rules Footy and gets a crack in the seniors sooner rather than later.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

Would the Irish experiment have any worse a record compared to standard rookies?

                          Ah. Funny.

Possibly not, but it takes a lot more resources, ie coaching, time and money, to develop them.
