And Fev can still see what life would have been like at the Swans by having Amon deliver to him..."As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

Carlton really must want to get rid of Fev. Otherwise they have been royally screwed.
I thought Bradshaw would finish up after this season because one of his knees is almost shot and Rischitelli will struggle to get a game in Carlton's midfield. Looks like they will need Brad Fisher to kick their goals next year pfffftComment

But look at it based on Carlton's structure and the very real issue of Bradshaw breaking down, then this is a very very bad deal for Carlton.
If Voss had not decided to throw this deal up, my prediction of Fev to us for nothing more than pick 28 at 1.45pm on Friday might of actually come true as it looks very much like they are fair dinkum to see this trade through.

I'm with you too. Brisbane would be effectively trading one very very good FF with about 1 year left in him, for an even better one with as many as 4 years left in him, possibly more. Plus they are giving away a solid but hardly spectacular midfielder. If you put aside the emotional aspect of trading away a long-standing clubman like Bradshaw, from a purely footballing point of view it seems like an absolute winner for Brisbane.
If our list was currently where Brisbane's is, especially with Black, Power and Brown towards the end of their most productive parts of their career, I'd be all for the Swans going for it, assuming the behavioural aspects of Fevola could be managed.
Many Carlton fans were indicating they'd feel slightly ripped off if they got (a wishful) ROK and pick 14 from us for Fevola. I can't see how the puported Brisbane offer is even in the same ballpark.Comment

The Carlton supporters would be spewing, I tried to tell them last night over at Bigfooty that if Sydney was the only option then our pick 28 or even 38 would be sufficent to land the deal, only to see suggestions like pick 6 and Vespremi be thrown back at me.
They just got a very large dose of humble pie today on how the trade system works when you have damaged goods and when good old Uncle Sydney was not there to bail them out with a stupid deal like we did in the early 90's.

The X-Files
Apparently the Brisbane deal may be off & Roos said that the Swans still aren't interested Fev deal in limbo
However I was thinking, on the basis that Carlton won't have him back under any circumstances & sack him [if this list of potential wrong doings is anything to go by, then it's quite understandable-> Fev rumours ] but he still wants to play next year, what's to stop Sydney picking him up in the PSD on a new contract & no trade hoohah? The Swans Fan Zone on
