Think 2003 - maybe one of our kids will step up and win the R1 game for us against one of the Victorian favourites.

      Who knows?

I know that the wobbles will be playing at least 17 games in Melbourne.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

As will a number of other big Melbourne clubs or near enough to 17. It will always work that way as long as there are 10 teams in Victoria.

Short of selling home games interstate, every victorian club will play 11 home games in victoria, plus at least 5 away games, as there are only 6 non-victorian clubs (for now).

So 16 games is the minimum a team will have, do you really want to start bawling over 17? 20 is excessive, and that is never reached.

It would seem fair if Collingwood were playing 17 games in Melbourne (including Geelong). That would mean five interstate trips out of a possible six that can be made... However this year it looks to me as if they played 18 in Victoria.

Essendon had five interstate, Carlton was scheduled for five - plus a home game against Freo on the Gold Coast.

Not sure it can be much fairer than that for those two...

We only visited the other "interstate" sides three times, with two away games in ACT and six in Melbourne....

I for one don't think we have much to complain about when it comes to venues for our games...?

Very unhappy night. I'm tipping us to play Brisbane first this year.

I'd love to play Brissy first and see what they have done with Fev and the much vaunted, but not even preseasoned yet, forward line. In Sydney of course.

It aint going to be Lions first up as they are fixed in to play the Eagles in Perth round 1.

We know that Blues v Tigers on Thursday is locked in and it will be the Saints v Cats on Friday in the GF rematch. There is talk that the Dogs will be going to Adelaide to play the Crows.

That only leaves Dockers, Power, Demons, Bombers, Pies, Kangaroos and Hawks to choose from.

It can't be Bombers v Pies in the first round as they play Anzac day.

My money is on the Bombers v Swans at ANZ Stadium on Saturday night to kick off the season.

According to the Herald Sun online this AM, the draw will not be officially released until 30 October.

The article mentioned that Fev will line up against his old mob at the Gabba in Round 2, Easter Thursday night.

The AFL wont do it, but id love to play collingwood at the SCG, instead of at ANZ. That is the only real hope of beating them I rekon.

                          But I hate the wobbles.

There's gotta be a way to make them travel. Maybe play both their Sydney games in Sydney.
