We should stick with Playfair because he gives us depth. If our inexperienced forwards get injured or lose form he's available as a forward target.

Remember the terrible injury toll we sustained this season? Remember how guys like Bevan and Moore, who played well in 2009, lost form?

A slight dilemma if Playfair passes the medical and we do a deal with Bradshaw, but I expect the club will hold on to him for next year.

He is a spud of the highest order. He's somewhere below Barlow but probably above Ablett. The future doesn't look good for him.

I am, of course, happy to recant all of the above the moment he plays a single decent game for us. But I gotta tell you, I don't see it happening.

Thought his games against Hawks, Pies, Dogs and Bombers in 2008 were quite good (link to stats below)

He was also looking good in the Crows game for the short time he was on the field before injuring himself

He'll never be a star but I thought he added alot to our forward structure as he's got very good hands and knows how to lead into space. If he can get on the park of course

So last time he played a decent game was about the same time Buchanan played a good one?

Not sure what the comparison is supposed to be about but Henry didnt get on the park in 2009, bit hard to play a good one on crutches!!

Well if you're going to use that logic, I contributed more to the team's success this year.

As for the comparison, well we traded Buchanan didn't we?

Not sure how you came to that conclusion from my post, but yeah sure of course you did

So what? Players aren't traded on the basis of when they played their last good game. There are a whole number of different factors that come into play.

Looks like Playfair will be rookie listed if he doesn't come up in next month. Good for him and the SWans.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.
