Mumford or Seaby to start most games ?

Jolly wasn't a hack at the Dees. As barry noted White was the premier ruckman in the league, and like Cox now pretty well ran the full game out.
Dees would have liked to have kept him but agreed to trade him for better opportunities (and a 1st round pick of course!).
This notion that he came to Sydney and suddenly went from hack to star is incorrect, we just had the ruck spot available for him.
Hopefully we'll see a repeat with Seaby and MumfordComment

You've got it wrong there Bazza, IMO.
Mumford was highly rated by the Cats and were prepared to groom him ahead of Blake for 1st ruck spot once the Ottens reign come to an end. They were spewing they lost him.
A close friend, who is a former Geelong player told me the grooming for the number 1 spot for Mumford could have happened as soon as 2010 as they want to give Ottens more time deep forward.
As for Seaby, he will be very competitive, just as he was in the strong Eagles line-ups of 2005/2006.
I believe you are correct on Pike.Comment

Considering who we lost this season, and to be competitive and finish higher than 12th. Behind the eagles who were being called tankers no less

Seaby: has another 5-7 years in him?
Bradshaw: takes the first, and maybe the second defender away from White. Easing his burden as the next big forward.
Kennelly: would have still been playing if he was here, wouldn't he?

Because the club appears to believe that we are in a similar position to 2003.
I certainly don't expect a serious tilt at the premiership in 2010, but with clever recruiting (which i think our trade period was), development of our youngsters and a sprinkling of luck we can be challenging again in 2011.Comment

From another thread a little while ago, Searby accuracy at goal was outstanding.
Even with Bradshaw and White, it gives a whole new possibility for a forward structure - as well as sharing Ruck with Mumford.Comment
