That's what it is likefor me here in Tassie. I loathe Hawthorn with a passion but I enjoy the opportunity to see any AFL teams play live so I make the trek to Launceston. I enjoy watching individual players rather than teams so I will go to watch Pavlich or Wirrapanda or Rioli or Riewoldt etc. It makes me feel moreknowledgeable about the opposition and I can get an AFL fix without having to pay for airfares.

If I lived in Sydney I would love to catch the occasional game that doesn't involve the Swans. I was going to say it would be a lot closer for you lot but it onle takes me an hour and twenty minutes to get to Launceston. That is probably how long it takes for you lot to travel 20 kilometres.

Doesn't mean I'll love the Swannies any less, I'm devoted and EXTREMELY passionate about my team but I also love the game and as such, look forward to being able to see a live game every week.

Having said that, I'm uncertain of just how GWS will go. I think the biggest problem they will face and one that I'm not convinced the AFL has really addressed is the ethnicity of the area they are pitching to.
Blacktown, Penrith and their environs have a large population of people of Asian, the Sub-Continent and Middle Eastern descent and I just don't see these people embracing AFL.

Become an AFL member with Sydney club support. That way your membership money goes to the Swans, and you get in to GWS games as an AFL member. Best of both worlds.

What a great idea, I never knew you could do that.

I did this many years ago and still have my reserved seat in the Brewongle.

You basically enter the SCG with your AFL membership and use your Swans membership to get to your seat.

For finals you use your AFL membership. Once you become a full AFL member (took me 8 years) you can go to any GF whether the Swans are in it or not. This is what I have done over the last few years.

If I didn't have a reserved seat it would be even cheaper but I'm not giving up my reserved seat which I have now had for 12 years.

You have to elect Country AFL membership with Swans support. It also gets you in free to games in Melbourne. I hope to do about 2 to 3 trips to Melbourne next year and see about 4 games in a weekend.

By the 4th game you ARE footballed out.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

That sounds perfect for me as I go to 3/4 games in Melbourne every season. One question though, as far as seating goes, I currently sit in the Noble or Ladies stands, would I still be able to sit there or would I have to sit in the general seating area?
