You can make your pet a "member" for $35 (I think).
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

No greyhounds here. Heap of siberian huskies though. If I recall Barry Hall had a malamute that needed a brush as well as a seat.

Look like my mates and I will only be going the SCG package this year.

As a lapsed member (after last year's debacle), this year's offerings look much more reasonable for us (family ticket). Will probably re-sign this year.

However, there are still clearly problems with the membership department and how they are running things. We received the Colless mea culpa letter a few months ago, in which they promised to examine everything and do their best to get people back on board.

So, you'd think a follow up might happen? Nup. Nada. They have our details as lapsed members. I have also "registered an interest" via the online process. Neither has resulted in an approach from the club. The only reason I know about the new memberships is because I was interested enough to keep track myself and check them out online.

There are people out there like us who could effectively be wooed back to the club, but they have dropped the ball again. They need to get a marketing person who cares about follow up, not just the big impact glossy (I am assuming they sent out - having seen nothing) they focus all their attentions on.

Maybe a bit of patience is in order. Membership packages to existing members were mailed barely a week ago, for most of us arriving late this week. It was announced on the website just around a week ago that a new membership / marketing manager has been appointed. He can barely have begun the job yet.

If you've heard nothing within the next couple of months, fair enough. But at this stage the membership drive has barely commenced.

Fair call. No question the new guy/girl will have plenty to work on! Only query is that maybe that such an appointment was crying out to be made ages ago, not on the eve of the "membership season".

I received my membership booklet today (November 23) Interested to see on page 18 that
"All members that sign up by 21 Nov will go in the draw...."

Okay, I do live in sleepy hollow, but the Australia Post man now rides a motorbike
Just wondering when other Victorian's received their membership booklets.

The email last week said they were posted from 16th November and all should be received by 4th December.

                            Nothing as yet for me.

Not surprising though, these mass mails out's go out over a number of days from different mailing centre's which means they can vary by up to a couple of weeks.

I just renewed on-line anyway once I got the e-mail with my login detials.
