I'm probably reading too much into it, but yes I certainly think it is and we all know who it would be directed at.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I don't think players or people for that matter change clubs on a whim, particularly when they have been with one club their whole career. I find it hard to believe that if Hall has issues he's not laying down he's the only one. The two quotes earlier in the thread are pretty clear and easy to interpret.

I don't know what it is...but would be interesting to read the book!
About $800k per year might have helped

I couldn't care less about the Victorian media, or any other media for that matter. But when he states, in the same sentence, that the dogs are a VERY DIFFERENT GROUP THAN SYDNEY, and they are very professional, very driven and very modest, infact very reserved...the obvious conclusion is, in Baz's eyes, the Swans are none of these things. He's starting to sound bitter to me.

I eagerly anticipate the "I can't believe what a bunch of f----ers they are at my new club" interview.

It's probably the same as any shiny new job. When you work with the same people for a long time you stop noticing how good they are and start noticing all their annoying little faults. And they start noticing and pulling you up on yours. When you start a new job, you think everyone's so nice, and intelligent, and motivated - and you're the new puppy (who can lift heavy objects...), then 6 months later you're having the same issues as before.

"And Roos? ''We both agreed to disagree about a lot of things and we've both been man enough to bite our tongues.''

"He did not deny that the Sydney system and that club's cultish leadership group and its tendency to micromanage each small issue had begun to grate. ''It is a good system and it's worked for them and they have been a very good club with that leadership system in place,'' said Hall, with some care."
Fancy having the gaul to mention his own name in the same sentence as Paul Roos. The difference between the 2 is that Roos is at the top of the gene pool and Hall is at the bottom of the gene pool.

I was in Perth this week and picked up the West Australian this morning and here is this goose Hall staring me in the face. Fair dinkum he has gone from the biggest @@@@@ under the sun in the eyes of the media to their bloody darling.

Can't wait to see the piles of his books on the throw out tables at $5.95.

So you think there is nothing there?

Admittedly this one - "He did not deny that the Sydney system and that club's cultish leadership group and its tendency to micromanage each small issue had begun to grate. ''It is a good system and it's worked for them and they have been a very good club with that leadership system in place,'' said Hall, with some care." - Is all Wilson. Bold is all Barry says, though the context has to come from somewhere...surely she wouldn't just make it up!

You know - all he is doing is answering the questions put too him - and answering them as best as he can without giving too much away - afterall Caro has bagged him big time in the past, so why would he give her that much ammo to do it again?. Then Caro adds her own "spin" to the answers, so it can be inferred to sound juicier than it actually is. At the end of the day - its not earth shattering stuff - we all know there was a falling out, he's not thrilled about it, but obviously he's not losing sleep over it and he's getting on with his life and career elsewhere. We also have to accept that no club is perfect (yes even the Swans) and there will always be the odd conflict within them. Blimey if everyone was the same, how dull the world would be.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

I've heard from my sources in the media that he did not deny he felt Roos let the team down in 2006 and was directly responsible for his performance on the day either. He also did not deny that the divisions between the coaching and playeing staff had split the leadership group to the extent that well established stars were looking to play elsewhere.

I don't understand what you mean by Roos letting the team down in '06 and for also being directly responsible for Halls performance in the GF?
