    Just saw the Sam reid footage. Looks like Barry Round (same haircut) plays like Andrew Dunkley.

    I think we have found our new fullback. What a big lad.

    A big round of applause for our recruiting team - DONE GOOD !!!!
    In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

      A very good night.

      According to Scott Clayton we're the winners of the night.

      SYDNEY: They?re the winners. For what they set out to do, they delivered. Gary Rohan and Lewis Jetta will get some speed and excitement into their team. Sam Reid is a very good chance to be an elite tall defender.

          Except that we've lost our two lead hobbits over the last couple of years.

          Do McGlynn and Moore count as replacement hobbits?

            I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
            We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

              Interesting comments.

              Scott Clayton is generally regarded as the best spotter of young talent in the AFL and he leans towards exciting, fast, skilled players.

              Both Rohan and Jetta are right up his ally.

                OK, so now to the important business: nicknames!

                Rohan = Red Rooster
                Jetta = Jet Black? Or is that too un-PC?
                Reid = Book? Sax?
                Sumner = Bay? As in Byron Bay?
                Dennis-Lane = Hyphen II, H2, Hyphen-mini, TDL, UDL, Download
                Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

                  I agree - and a group of aboriginals together as well...very, very smart recruiting by the Swans. Dinner at Micky O's with Goodesy first Sunday of every month me thinks.

                      He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

                        Except Hyphen II is Burmese. Close enough.

                            Although I'm very surprised he wasn't in the top ten.
